Qin Yun's face remained expressionless, but he was secretly overjoyed.
Assisting the loyalists in reclaiming Planet Automata.
This was a mission originally issued to him by the Emperor.
It was definitely something he had to do.
It was just that the mission rewards were a bit meager, consisting only of Faith Points and a pair of Epic-grade wings.
For Qin Yun, who wanted to build his own faction, these items were a drop in the bucket—pitifully few.
In the Warhammer universe, the strength of a single individual was ultimately thin.
Even someone as powerful as a Primarch needed the support of a Legion.
Qin Yun did not want to be like Celestine, acting as a lone, good-hearted soul.
Running all the way to provide support only to be backstabbed by some suspicious Inquisitor.
He needed his own faction and the power to dictate terms.
The Valancius Family's willingness to pledge loyalty was a good start.
A first-generation Rogue Trader dynasty that possessed a warrant of trade granted by the Emperor.
If nurtured properly, they would surely become a powerful trading dynasty in the future.
"Very well, for the sake of the God-Emperor," Qin Yun said, "I will assist you as much as I can."
"In a moment, have your people synchronize all battlefield data and intelligence to the space station."
"Once I deal with the enemies up here, I will find a way to provide support on the ground."
Upon receiving Qin Yun's promise, Von breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you for your assistance, honorable Guide. The Valancius Family shall never break its oath."
The communication ended.
The projection flickered and shut off.
The battlefield intelligence from Planet Automata was quickly packaged and sent to the space station.
Qin Yun had Hina receive it, intending to review it once he finished the tasks at hand.
If I can secure the support of the Valancius Family, that will count as having a foundation.
While calculating how to build his faction, Qin Yun headed to the console to establish communication with the Imperial Glory.
He ordered Old Bird and the other players to pilot the warship to the dock for inspection and maintenance.
With no harbor pilot and no control tower.
Plus the fact that the players operating the warship were a bunch of inexperienced rookies.
The Imperial Glory, unsurprisingly, had an accident.
The Adamantium ram smashed into the docking tower at the port.
Fortunately, the ship's speed had been reduced to a minimum at the time of impact, so no major damage was caused.
The players on the bridge were sent tumbling and falling all over the floor due to the collision.
"Congratulations, you've earned an achievement: Ramming a warship into a wall."
Reckless General climbed up, patted Old Bird on the shoulder, and gave him a thumbs-down.
Facing his friend's disdain, Old Bird responded by flipping him the middle finger.
"If you dare point fingers again, I'll tie you to the prow and go drag racing in space."
Reckless General tossed his hair and struck a handsome pose. "Then make sure you tie me up looking cool, so I can have someone take a picture for posterity."
Old Bird looked Reckless General up and down, a speechless expression on his face.
"I never saw you being this much of a closet pervert in the lab; you've really let yourself go since entering the game, haven't you?"
"Don't tell me you've been corrupted by Slaanesh."
"This is the real me—handsome and secretly perverted," Reckless General said with a lecherous grin.
Zzzzt! Zzzzt!
The sound of electricity crackled as the Calculation Servitor shuddered under the influx of data.
The bridge's projector whirred to life, emitting a humming sound.
The projected beam of light outlined the figure of Qin Yun.
Seeing this, the bantering Old Bird and Reckless General hurriedly stood straight and saluted.
"Lord Guide."
The other players on the bridge did the same.
"Are you all alright?" Qin Yun asked with concern.
"Report, Guide, no one was injured."
"This time it was my command error. If you must deduct Contribution Points, can you deduct them from me alone?"
Old Bird stepped forward, taking the blame upon himself.
"You all did very well this time. To achieve this level of performance on your first operation is not a mistake, but rather something that deserves a reward."
Qin Yun did not blame them; instead, he offered a reward.
Several players cheered instantly.
They hailed long live Guide and promised that such accidents would absolutely never happen again in the future.
After the Imperial Glory entered the port, Qin Yun set off to find Captain Aing.
He asked the other party to help select some workers from the survivors.
They would assist the players in repairing the Imperial Glory.
"Leave this task to me, Guide," Aing said, guaranteeing the result. "I will select a group of workers with experience in ship maintenance."
"Thank you for the trouble, Captain Aing," Qin Yun said.
Aing said sincerely, "My lord, you are too polite. Serving you is my honor and my duty."
Lycade Station, B-11J residential area.
Tens of thousands of people originally lived here.
After the crisis broke out, these people were all transformed into Plague Zombies.
To prevent the loyalists from reclaiming the area, the Cultists had set up traps and firepower.
Having finished arranging the warship repair work, Qin Yun led the players and the soldiers of the 101st Regiment to launch an assault on this sector.
"For the Emperor!"
Accompanied by shouts, Qin Yun and the others launched their attack, pouring fierce firepower into the horde of corpses.
They shattered those rotting living dead.
They reaped the lives of those Cultists who worshipped the Dark Gods.
The team pushed forward, leaving countless broken, rotting corpses in their wake.
"Watch my newly mastered Frost Nova."
Ten-Timer shouted, unleashing the skill he had acquired after leveling up.
With the surge of Warp energy, dozens of Plague Zombies had their feet frozen, becoming living targets for the players.
"Why do Psykers get active skills while we don't? This isn't fair!!"
Warmaster blew the head off a Plague Zombie with a single shot, his tone somewhat sour.
He had also acquired skills after leveling up, but they were all passive skills.
Fanaticism: Can briefly increase combat power and reaction speed.
Shooting Talent: Master the use of various guns and artillery faster than ordinary people.
Toughness: The body can withstand more damage.
Iron Will: Willpower is increased, allowing one to resist more temptations and interference.
They were all for improving combat power and willpower; not a single one was an active skill.
"Nothing we can do about it, that's just how lucky this guy is!!"
Twisted Man swung his Mantis Blade, cutting two Plague Zombies in half at the waist.
"It really is infuriating to compare people." Warmaster shook his head.
Suddenly, the surrounding air temperature dropped by several degrees.
Powerful Warp energy gathered, and whispers and twisting black shadows appeared all around.
The players turned to look and discovered that Guide was channeling his psychic power.
Ten-Timer also stopped, a look of surprise on his face.
This Warp energy was far too vast; it was not something he could control.
"Psyker Flame Burst."
After acquiring the new skill, Qin Yun had gone to the Shrine and spent all the Faith Points he had accumulated during this period.
He had leveled up his psychic-related skills.
Taking advantage of the battle, he wanted to test the power of his new skill.
As he watched, the Warp energy converged.
Columns of fire erupted from the ground, instantly blasting the corpse horde into the air and setting them ablaze.
Raging flames soared into the sky.
In just over ten seconds, the tide of corpses turned into flying ash within the sea of fire.
"Holy cow!!"
Ten-Timer widened his eyes.
Everyone here was a psyker.
Why was Guide's psychic power so formidable!!
"That's not scientific."
The Twisted Man beside him rubbed his nose, "Since when does psychic power care about science??"
Ten-Timer ignored him and silently retreated into his own shell.
He had originally thought that if he trained hard and leveled up properly, he would surely be able to punch One-Eyed Ogryn and kick blue-skinned giant birds in the future.
But after seeing Guide make a move, he realized he was nothing more than a small fry.
Never mind One-Eyed Ogryn; he suspected that Ahriman could crush him with a single finger.
The other players and the Imperial soldiers like Aing were also dumbfounded.
Was this the strength of a Living Saint of the Emperor?
With a mere wave of his hand, he reduced the enemy to dust.
There were no powerful enemies in the residential area.
There were only Cultists and Plague Zombies.
These guys were no match for Qin Yun and his team at all.
They were slaughtered in a one-sided massacre.
While clearing the battlefield, a player accidentally discovered over a hundred survivors in a hidden warehouse.
In fact, it wasn't just in the residential area; as they reclaimed other sectors, they discovered survivors to varying degrees as well.
Qin Yun selected the sturdy men and women from among these people.
He issued them weapons and trained them into soldiers.
With the increase in manpower, the speed of reclaiming the station increased significantly.
In just a few days, the Aquila Banner was once again flying in many areas of Lycade Station.
After killing a Nurgle Blessed who was cultivating plague organisms at the water purification plant, Qin Yun leveled up again.
