When Noah heard the news, his expression remained calm. Having been through so much, he naturally did not take it to heart. Besides, it counted as exceptionally good news.
Getting this news basically meant Noah had received a clear signal: Captain Jack Sparrow, whom he had been thinking about for a week, was finally about to appear.
Originally, Noah had planned to "borrow" a ship from Governor Swan, then "borrow" a few experienced naval officers while he was at it.
To his surprise, Governor Swan not only agreed outright to take Noah and Hermione out to sea, but also brought such delightful news. Noah found that immensely satisfying.
After a pleasant dinner, Noah and Hermione returned to their room.
Hermione was not particularly interested in some commodore's inauguration ceremony. What interested her now was finally being able to set sail once the damned ceremony was over.
Hermione had never really had the chance to go out to sea for fun. Even now, she had little opportunity to do such things, mainly because she had too much to do and had never given it much thought before.
If Noah had not practically forced her to take a vacation, she probably would not have thought about all that either.
This trip with Noah had not only allowed her to properly enjoy the atmosphere of London in a way she had never truly experienced before, but had also brought her to an era far more ancient than her own.
Most importantly, they were now by the Caribbean Sea. That naturally gave Hermione ideas.
After all, now that they were here, it would be a real shame not to experience it properly.
