Background / History
Yvette initially confronted Chen Luo inside her War Domain, believing that neither observation nor intervention was possible there. Chen Luo defeated her with the Little Evil God Flying Kick, which nullified her powers and made her mortal; he killed her after learning that she intended to kill him and use his death to provoke a wider conflict. 34 165
Her body was spirit-sealed and kept in Chen Luo's possession while he sought a way to restore both her soul and memories. 166 377 391 After attaining the necessary puppeteering capability, Chen Luo used Holy Light essence to awaken the latent angelic power in her body, merged her preserved soul back into it, and puppet-processed her. 509
Yvette awoke with her memories intact but became subject to Chen Luo's commands and a coercive contract. Chen Luo deliberately retained her assertive personality, considering it necessary for her eventual return to public life. 532 She received the Sword of Light, an angelic weapon suited to her Frenzy Value, and was prepared to resume her identity within the Church. 534 631
To explain her disappearance, Chen Luo sent Yvette through the Abyss Channel. Her eventual return was presented to the Church as survival through a great disaster and acquisition of an Otherworld Angel's inheritance. 748 764 774 The Church accepted her return, restored her position, and treated her as a central figure in its God Creation Plan. 774 930 1074
Yvette later helped purge the Church's corrupt elements and rose further in influence as Chief Judge of the Inquisition. 1220 1277 Though she was a potential candidate for deification, she chose to support her sister Sylvia's ascension instead, judging the newly promoted Seraph better suited to become the Church's public face. 1382 1396
Appearance
Yvette is a beautiful angelic woman with golden hair, blue eyes, and a sweet-looking face. Her holy appearance sharply contrasts with her abrasive manner of speaking. 532
- Golden hair and blue eyes. 532
- Manifests white angelic wings and a halo-like sacred presence when her angelic power is active. 509 532
- Commonly wears ornate white-and-gold Battle Nun attire from the Sisterhood. 533
- Keeps the Angel Ring atop her head or on her person. 532
- Her killing intent is intense enough to intimidate ordinary people. 1306
Personality
Yvette is proud, combative, blunt, and highly competitive. As a War Angel, she values strength and follows a survival-of-the-fittest outlook; she is particularly inclined to respect those who defeat her. 533 748 She accepts that her own attempt on Chen Luo's life justified his killing her, but remains dissatisfied that his victory relied on a targeted countermeasure rather than a straightforward contest. 1254 748
She has a strong cleanliness obsession and is more upset by being dirtied or mishandled than by many threats directed at her. 532 533 534 Her Frenzy Value previously amplified her aggression and impaired her judgment; after its influence was resolved, she became more controlled without becoming gentle. 533 774 932
Despite her open dislike of Chen Luo and frequent provocation of him, Yvette is incapable of betraying him as his puppet and will protect him when necessary. 532 464 She gradually comes to regard the bar—and Chen Luo himself—as a source of security and reliability. 931
Yvette is fiercely protective of her sister Sylvia. She rejects the idea of Sylvia replacing her in the engagement arrangement and later prioritizes Sylvia's safety and future over her own chance at deification. 1253 1254 1382
