Background / History

Vill-V is Fire Moth’s leading engineering specialist, responsible for weapon design, Divine Keys, civil engineering, and shelters. Her tendency to pursue unconventional solutions repeatedly put her at odds with Fire Moth’s leadership: after designing the Fourth Divine Key as an ecological-restoration satellite, she was given less freedom over the Sixth Divine Key’s intended function. 1284

Her Flame-Chaser condition is inseparable from her multiple personalities. Vill-V’s body was believed to have died during hyper-evolution surgery, yet she survived with Flame-Chaser abilities. The Id personality initially separated the Magus, Expert, and Conductor personalities, granting the Conductor authority to divide consciousness before withdrawing from ordinary activity. 1745 2368

When the original personality withdrew into sleep, the separate selves lost real-time communication and relied on records and message boards instead. Despite this limitation, Vill-V remained a major contributor to Fire Moth’s projects through the cooperation—or interference—of her individual personalities. 1675 2369

Appearance

Vill-V’s presentation changes with the personality currently controlling her body; at times she displays a mixed engineer-magician demeanor rather than a single consistent persona. 1490

  • Her distinctive hat is a memento left by her master and can be dismantled into mechanical components. 1530
  • Great Magician Vill-V uses a magician’s badge and carries props suited for sudden performances or engineering work. 1739
  • Her hat can serve as a teaching tool; she once assigned Chen Luo to reassemble it as his first lesson in mechanical basics. 1177

Personality

Vill-V is intensely proud of her genius, curious about unfamiliar technology, and driven to create things no one else can. She values design concepts from other worlds, particularly equipment that combines transformation, armor, magecraft, and weapon systems. 1387

She is also playful, theatrical, and habitually secretive. Vill-V leaves backdoors in her work, manipulates situations to obtain what she wants, and has repeatedly enlisted Chen Luo as her magecraft assistant without allowing him much opportunity to refuse. 1284 1739 1991

Her personalities generally coexist peacefully and share sensations, though their differing priorities can produce erratic results. Expert Vill-V’s inventions are reliable masterpieces when left alone, but other selves may alter them into what Chen Luo calls “genius little trash.” 1675 1747

Extreme Evil Vill-V

Extreme Evil Vill-V is the accumulation of Vill-V’s pride, arrogance, and negative emotions as a genius. The other personalities sealed her away because they feared that her intelligence and unchecked self-conceit would cause widespread harm. 1532 1833

Extreme Evil is not simply malicious; she is the most intellectually capable personality apart from the Id, but is emotionally unstable and deeply isolated from the rest of Vill-V. Her lack of contact with the other selves contributed to her attachment to Chen Luo, who allowed her to remain active for longer than usual. 1833 1834

Abilities & Skills

Consciousness Division

Vill-V’s Flame-Chaser ability permits her consciousness to be divided into multiple specialized personalities.

  • The Conductor personality holds authority over the division of consciousness. 1675 2368
  • Vill-V can sustain eight personalities at a genius-level standard; splitting further is possible, but reduces the intelligence of each fragment. 1387
  • Her personalities share feelings and physical strain even when different selves perform separate work. 1747
  • While within roughly five meters of another being, Vill-V can capture that being’s consciousness into her body, where it becomes an additional personality. 1745
  • The different personalities can take turns controlling the same body; with the Id awake, they can also communicate in real time. 2369

Id / Trickster Talent

The Id personality is Vill-V’s central and most versatile self.

  • The Id can deceive herself into manifesting a talent that inherently belongs to her, provided she learns how to use it. 2368
  • The other personalities are treated as specialized portions of the Id’s broader genius. 2368
  • During the Herrscher of Restraint crisis, the suppression of Vill-V’s usual abilities forced the Id to take control of her body. 2367 2368

Engineering and Divine Key Forging

Vill-V is Fire Moth’s foremost weapons engineer and a specialist in Divine Key construction.

  • She designs weapons, shelters, and large-scale civil-engineering projects as head of the Engineering Department. 1747 2035 2390
  • She completed the Sixth Divine Key shortly before taking her Mu Continent magecraft tour. 1739
  • She and Chen Luo forged the Seventh Divine Key, Heavenly Fire Judgment, over ten days; it can transform from a greatsword into dual guns. 1991 1992
  • She forged the True Self Key from illusory Soul Steel, using a mirror or kaleidoscope concept intended to help Chen Luo understand his true self. 2278
  • After studying Chadwick’s work, she learned to craft Imaginary Pulses if provided sufficient materials. 2369

Magecraft and Gadgets

Vill-V supplements her limited direct combat focus with performances, mechanisms, and specialized devices.

  • Her props can support elaborate magic performances, including teleporting Mobius directly onto a gala stage. 1929
  • Her gadgets can compensate for her lack of conventional combat training; even Hua acknowledged that Vill-V’s devices could make her difficult to defeat. 1530
  • She is skilled at reading micro-expressions, which she presents as “mind-reading” to pressure others. 1530
  • She can construct specialized equipment from improvised components, including parts taken from her own hat. 1177

Creations and Equipment

  • Vill-V’s Hat — A modular mechanical hat and her master’s final memento. 1177 1530
  • Fourth Divine Key — A satellite designed to restore the ecological environment rather than function solely as a weapon. 1284
  • Sixth Divine Key — A Fire Moth project built by Vill-V under a predetermined design direction. 1284 1739
  • Heavenly Fire Judgment — The Seventh Divine Key, forged with Chen Luo; its extreme output made Kevin its appropriate wielder. 1991 1992
  • True Self Key — A Blank Divine Key forged from unique Soul Steel, designed around the concept of self-understanding. 2278
  • Imaginary Pulses — Technology Vill-V learned to manufacture after studying existing designs. 2369

Relationships

  • Chen Luo — Frequent collaborator, assistant, and target of Vill-V’s teasing. She calls him her most important magecraft assistant and repeatedly recruits him for engineering and performance work. 1739 1991
  • Dr. Mei — Fire Moth superior and professional obstacle. Mei limits Vill-V’s freedom over Divine Key projects and keeps her tours and secret operations under supervision. 1284 1388 1739
  • Mobius — Fellow genius, rival, and occasional collaborator. Their arguments are frequent, though Vill-V recognizes their similarities; she once teleported Mobius onto a public stage as a magic trick. 460 1929
  • Elysia — Collaborator in the creation of the True Self Key; Elysia provided her Crystal Flower as its proposed prototype. 2278
  • Extreme Evil Vill-V — A sealed personality formed from Vill-V’s arrogance and negative emotions. The other personalities fear her potential, while Chen Luo becomes one of her few meaningful connections. 1532 1833
  • Id Vill-V — Vill-V’s central personality and the source from which the specialized selves were divided. 2368

Story Role / Major Arcs

Sixth Divine Key Development

Vill-V brought Chen Luo into the Engineering Department to advise on the Sixth Divine Key, intending to preserve her own creative influence despite Fire Moth’s restrictions on its function. 1284

Becoming a Flame-Chaser

Determined not to wait passively for the Eighth Herrscher’s attack, Vill-V persuaded Chen Luo to perform a secret fusion surgery. After succeeding, she became a Flame-Chaser and sought to join the operation against the Herrscher despite Mei’s objections. 1388 1389

Mu Continent Magecraft Tour

After finishing work on the Sixth Divine Key, Vill-V secretly followed Chen Luo to Mu Continent for a magecraft tour. Mei allowed the trip for fifteen days on the condition that Chen Luo serve as Vill-V’s assistant. 1739

During the tour, Vill-V assisted Chen Luo’s Armed Puppet work, investigated the strange boundaries around a world-bubble-like space, and tried to postpone her return once she learned that the Seventh Divine Key’s design still awaited her. 1742 1745 1747

Extreme Evil Vill-V Incident

A curse puppet allowed Extreme Evil Vill-V to manifest as a childlike form. Chen Luo chose to prolong her appearance rather than immediately end the effect, completing a commission to let the sealed personality remain active longer. 1833 1834

The later discovery of the Seven Deadly Sins coins gave Vill-V a possible means to communicate with and separate aspects of Extreme Evil, particularly her arrogance. Vill-V remained cautious, recognizing that the extracted personality could be dangerous. 1927 1928

Seventh Divine Key Forging

Vill-V conscripted Chen Luo into forging the Seventh Divine Key. Though she disliked its purely destructive purpose, she and Chen Luo completed Heavenly Fire Judgment, which Kevin proved capable of wielding. 1991 1992

Herrscher of Restraint Crisis

The Restraint Barrier threw Vill-V’s abilities into chaos, leaving the Id personality in control and badly injured amid destroyed machinery. Chen Luo treated her wounds and later used Yu Du Chen to anchor the Id, preventing the other personalities from immediately reclaiming the body. 2367 2368

With Chen Luo’s support, the Id began accepting her own genius and took responsibility for Fire Moth’s reconstruction work, including shelters and the Key of Restraint. 2368 2387

Final Battle Preparations

Despite doubting that she will survive, Vill-V intends to fight in the final battle. 2530

Trivia

  • Vill-V’s personality splitting has no absolute numerical limit, but maintaining more than eight simultaneous selves compromises each personality’s genius-level intellect. 1387
  • Hundred Flavors Vill-V was created after Vill-V’s overly delicious potions repeatedly caused Pardo to require emergency treatment. 1675
  • Vill-V’s main responsibilities are not limited to weapons: the Deepest Place and Fire Moth’s no-man’s-land shelters are among her engineering works. 2035
