The Black Tide is an apparently inexhaustible force of Chaos that invades worlds through spatial breaches, unleashing aberrant creatures and seeking to erase all life and civilization. It is described as the natural enemy of all Star Realm life and civilizations. 467 473

Appearance

The Black Tide typically manifests as a black mist or a tide-like mass of creatures pouring from black holes, Void Rifts, or other ruptures in the world’s barrier.

Early Earth Star Outbreaks

A major Black Tide eruption began when a black hole appeared in the Suluo River near Soga City. Creatures emerged in waves, while an invisible barrier sealed the city and prevented entry or escape. Chen Feng, Yang Wudi, local forces, and later Suro military reinforcements defended the city against the invasion. 244 245 246

The outbreak demonstrated the Tide’s hierarchy and scale: six powerful monsters led the swarm, while an exceptionally powerful scaled claw attempted to force its way through the spatial opening. 245

Green Port City and the Black Mist

Within Green Port City’s dreamscape, the Black Tide was tied to a pervasive black mist and a scarlet blood moon. Chen Feng discovered that creatures killed there could return through the mist’s restorative power, including previously defeated Sixth Order entities. 327

This phenomenon led Chen Feng to consider whether purifying Black Tide power could prevent its creatures from reviving permanently. 327

Ancient Civilizations
