The Divine Tome's first ritual had fairly ordinary requirements. It imposed no restrictions on the setting, the time, or the person arranging it. Isaac could complete it right in his basement, and for him, it posed no difficulty at all. He set it up in no time.
In the basement, he checked the ritual again. Once he confirmed its margin for error was as high as it could go, he nodded in satisfaction. Then, with a gentle push of his hand, the Divine Tome, glowing with rainbow light, floated into the center of the Ritual Magic Circle.
Three streams of divine power flew out from behind Isaac and circled the Divine Tome.
"Hiss..."
Just as the ritual was about to begin, the Magic Eye on Isaac's forehead opened again. It had been still until now, but it gazed curiously at the Divine Tome in the center of the Ritual Magic Circle.
Isaac gave the Magic Eye a casual glance, then paid it no more attention. He focused entirely on the ritual.
A faint pulse rippled through the room, and the materials in the ritual lit up one after another. Strange lights flickered in the dark basement. Under the ritual's influence, the three streams of divine power circling the Divine Tome began to tremble.
Then the divine power broke apart into points of starlight that slowly merged with the Divine Tome.
At the sight, the Magic Eye on Isaac's forehead flew wide open!
Divine power could be broken apart?
After all these years, this was the first time it had seen anyone use divine power like that. Which of them was the god here, the Mad Witch or it?
Isaac ignored the curious Magic Eye and remained wholly focused on maintaining the ritual.
