The Mad Witch was held in an iron cage by the slave trader Remy. Though dressed plainly and curled up in a corner, she possessed surging Chaos Magic Power that Isaac judged comparable to a peak Formal Wizard’s. 147

Her sale was especially dangerous because Witches are protected by the Witch Country, whose laws prohibit their enslavement and are recognized by other continental states. Isaac nevertheless became interested in her magic and considered acquiring her for study, while explicitly rejecting the idea of sacrificing her to extract a hypothetical “Witch Heart.” 147

The captive Witch was later known as Rona. After joining Isaac’s household, she helped train the slaves he had purchased, explaining that she had learned basic militia drills after previously becoming a militiaman for food while starving. 25

Rona subsequently advanced to the Fourth Tier before entering Witch Country. Her Bloodline is tied to dragons, and its instinctive reaction to the Dragon Egg led Isaac to investigate the possibility that her [Dragon’s Son] magic could evolve into [Dragon Mother], potentially making her an Artificial Magic Codex Witch. 355 490
