Back in Dungeon City, the fighting was still going on. The ritual had ended, but the monsters pouring out of the dungeons had yet to be dealt with. It would take some time before everything finally quieted down.
Fortunately, there weren't many fourth-tier monsters left. Battles of this intensity wouldn't have posed much trouble for Dungeon City even before, let alone now that it had the extraordinary aid of Spellbreaker Swordsmen. Dealing with them would only be easier.
So Isaac merely glanced around before returning to his laboratory without concern to study the three things the ritual had given him.
There wasn't much to say about the Spellbreaker Swordsman inheritance item. Like any ordinary inheritance item, it had a limited number of direct uses. Its only distinction was that the limit was somewhat higher—a full thousand uses!
Of course, for an organization, a thousand uses was still very little.
That was why wizards had long ago devised initiation rituals to supplement inheritance items. These rituals greatly improved their efficiency, breathing new life into extraordinary paths that lacked training methods or had stringent requirements. Among lower-level extraordinary practitioners, all sorts of paths had flourished as a result.
Isaac took a quick look. Traditional initiation rituals would work on it without much modification. That meant he really could squeeze a little more gold out of his older brother.
Of course, even if modifications had been necessary, Isaac could still have squeezed plenty of gold out of him. Unlike Isaac, his eldest sister, a Grand Arcane Master, was bound to the territory. That bond was far stronger than those of the Grand Arcane Masters recruited by other territories.
Put simply, as long as his father and Caesar remained alive, she would never leave Solomon Territory, no matter how many generations it passed through!
