In an instant, countless silver threads shot from the silver orb in Gandalf's hand, connecting to every living being in the Small World. An immense power began to emerge, and under his guidance, silvery-white radiance appeared around Black Knight.
Feeling that long-absent power return, Black Knight nodded to Gandalf, then looked up at the sky. His figure flashed, turning into a streak of black-and-white divine light that hurtled toward the heavens!
Along the way, he broke through the restraints Isaac and Filo had jointly established, one after another!
"Oh? A law? Impressive." Looking through the World Wall, Isaac saw the silver radiance around Black Knight and looked surprised.
Laws were an exceptionally powerful force, once one of the core powers wizards had used to resist the gods, and the precursor to authority spells.
Although wizards in the Real World had largely abandoned them, that did not mean they were weak. On the contrary, a law was distinctly stronger than an authority spell of the same level, even one derived from the highest-grade authority!
Yet despite their immense power, laws had still been replaced by authority spells for one reason: they were extraordinarily difficult to cultivate!
The first thing to understand was that laws were, in essence, manifestations of the will of all living beings. That was why they possessed the power to oppose gods. Fundamentally, a law was an artificial concept god!
Their strengths were indisputable: quick activation, tremendous power, and a broad range of targets. Their drawbacks, however, were even more obvious, foremost among them the difficulty of cultivation. Since a law embodied the will of all living beings, learning the spell first required gaining their recognition.
Moreover, the same group of people could only serve as "spell materials" once!
Second, cultivating laws required strictly following the progression from
