For some time to come, as long as Isaac survived, everyone would fight over him during the teleportation phase. Having finally secured a chance, the assassin's side might only get this one shot. And the worst that could happen was death, followed by resurrection outside.

"I see. In exchange for the Authority you would otherwise awaken at random, you've been given a standardized, external Authority. That grants you a potent countermeasure against wizards: an Authority that breaks Authority. Interesting.
