Suddenly, Can Yue remembered that Buggy was already injured, so he stopped building up his momentum and instead said to Buggy, "Rest first and recover from your injuries. I don't want to bully the wounded."
Buggy was stunned for a moment, but surprisingly, he didn't refuse. Instead, he slowly walked over to the group of unconscious underlings and rummaged around on them for some medicine.
After applying the healing medicine, Buggy looked calmly at Can Yue and said, "I need twenty more minutes to return to my peak state."
Can Yue nodded in response. "Fine!"
With that, Can Yue ignored Buggy, who was already lying down to rest, and walked over to Buggy's underling, the Black-Nosed Clown.
Can Yue grabbed the Black-Nosed Clown, who had woken up but lost the ability to move, and tossed him near Buggy.
Buggy was puzzled and asked, "What do you mean by this? You want me to save him too?"
Can Yue countered, "Do you know what he did?"
Buggy thought back briefly. "You mean the time he accidentally offended you and you cut off his arm?"
"Is that all you know? Forget it." Can Yue didn't want to explain further. Although he was curious about how Buggy would handle this underling, it was just curiosity—not enough to waste his breath.
Hearing this, Buggy immediately understood. The underling had come to him earlier, complaining that Can Yue had bullied him for no reason—it was most likely a lie. And more than that, this kid had probably done something Buggy had forbidden.
With that thought, Buggy's eyes turned cold, but in the end, he didn't act. After a moment of deliberation, Buggy looked at Can Yue. "Let's deal with this after our fight."
"Fine."
The scene fell silent as both of them adjusted their breathing.
Far away, Luffy, Zoro, the giant Chuu, the Mayor, and the Pig Butcher Couple watched Can Yue and Buggy getting along so harmoniously and felt their brains itch.
"What are they doing?" The Mayor and the Pig Butcher Couple were outsiders and couldn't understand their actions.
Zoro and Luffy figured it out after a moment.
"As expected of Can Yue. He's incredibly confident," Zoro remarked.
"But Buggy is strong too. I can clearly feel that he wasn't going all out when he fought me," Luffy said. Ever since his fight with Buggy, his expression had been serious, a far cry from his usual goofy demeanor.
The Mayor and the Pig Butcher Couple were even more confused after hearing their words.
"Why do you say Can Yue is confident?"
Zoro picked up his sword, walked over to a rock, and sat down, explaining to the three of them, "Letting your opponent recover to their best before fighting—that's the habit of a true swordsman, and a sign of a strong person's confidence."
"Wow, that's so cool." The young woman and the Mayor sighed in admiration.
But the Pig Butcher Man still looked worried and voiced his concern.
"Back when I went up the mountain to chop wood, I saw Buggy from afar. In an instant, he took down that mountain..."
Hearing this, even Luffy and Zoro held their breath for a moment, a trace of worry creeping in.
"Can Yue, I believe you can win." Luffy, leaning against Chuu, muttered to himself.
Chuu's gaze was also fixed ahead, as if deeply worried about Can Yue.
Twenty minutes passed quickly, and Can Yue and Buggy stood facing each other.
"Let's fight at the back mountain," Buggy proposed first, suggesting they move the battlefield.
Can Yue seemed to have anticipated Buggy's move. Buggy was likely trying to protect his unconscious underlings, so he replied, "Fine."
With that, Buggy floated up and flew toward the back mountain. Strangely, his feet didn't touch the ground this time but were firmly connected to his calves.
"Heh, looks like Buggy is really getting serious." Can Yue smiled faintly, then rose and flew toward the back mountain as well.
The eyes of the group behind them went wide.
"So cool. He's so cool." Nami, who had already stolen the treasure and rejoined the group, was once again captivated by Can Yue's flying figure, twisting her body with sparkling eyes.
Of course, the Pig Butcher Man's wife wasn't much better off than Nami.
"Zoro, Can Yue can fly! He can actually fly!" Luffy's eyes practically sparkled as he repeatedly exclaimed how cool and awesome it was, all while slapping Zoro's back hard.
"That hurts, you idiot!" Zoro smacked Luffy on the head, then furrowed his brow.
Zoro was naturally shocked by Can Yue's ability to fly, but he was more worried about Buggy's combat strength. If what the Pig Butcher Man said was true, then Can Yue would have a tough time winning.
"They're heading to the back mountain. It's too far—it'll take us at least an hour to run there."
The Pig Butcher Man's worry never eased from start to finish.
As if understanding that everyone present wanted to watch Can Yue and Buggy's fight, Chuu let out a loud roar and crouched down.
The group immediately caught on and climbed onto Chuu's back one by one.
Once everyone was seated, Chuu took a few steps forward and then lifted off into the sky.
Everyone: "..."
At the rear mountain, Can Yue had already drawn Demon God Slayer, while Buggy held six daggers in his hands.
"Here I come, White-haired Swordsman!" Buggy grinned, his upper and lower body instantly separating. Using the powerful thrust from the separation, he shot straight in front of Can Yue and swung his daggers down.
Can Yue sidestepped the slashes, seized the opening as Buggy retracted his arms, and swung his sword. A fierce blue-green sword beam tore through the earth.
Unfortunately, this terrifying strike was still dodged by Buggy's splitting ability.
"What a powerful slash. You can already infuse Haki into your sword beam!"
Buggy's expression turned serious. If he hadn't dodged that blow, he would have been severely wounded.
Thinking this, Buggy abandoned his tactic of splitting into countless body parts to ram his opponent.
He sensed that Can Yue's Haki was stronger than his own, so the moves he used against Luffy wouldn't work here.
Excessive splitting would only make him an easy target for Can Yue to cut down.
"Kahahaha! It's been a while since I've fought hand-to-hand! This is what Uncle Rayleigh taught me."
With that, Buggy charged at Can Yue. His Armament Haki-coated daggers struck from bizarre angles, combined with partial body splits to adjust his trajectory. His attack patterns were wildly unpredictable, giving Can Yue considerable trouble.
Can Yue truly felt Buggy's strength now—far above Luffy's. Buggy's Observation Haki was especially superior to his Armament Haki, allowing him to dodge every single one of Can Yue's slashes.
'No matter how the original story went, this Buggy should at least be able to dodge Hawk Eyes' slashes in advance.'
'Since Buggy can predict attacks, I'll just expand the attack range.'
Can Yue flashed backward and swung his claw forward. "Poison Flower Claw Meteor Shower."
Terrifying green claw marks rained down on Buggy like a meteor shower.
Each claw mark easily corroded and decayed large patches of ground.
Buggy had to focus entirely on dodging, not daring to take a single hit.
On a distant hilltop, the newly arrived group stared at the rear mountain, now corroded and lifeless. They gasped sharply, pupils dilated.
Luffy: "Zoro, did you know Can Yue's poison was this strong?"
Zoro: "Ridiculous!"
Mayor: "Terrifying!"
Nami and the young woman: "So cool!"
Chuu: "Woof!"
The pig-killer, however, kept his brow tightly furrowed.
Just as Buggy was struggling to dodge, Can Yue's cold voice rang out.
"Azure Dragon Break!"
