Background / History

Tier was born into House Elbain with a horn on her head, a manifestation of her Unique Skill. Her immense Magic Power attracted the attention of the Goddess of Fate, who bestowed a Blessing upon her. House Elbain initially treated the horn as evidence of a “demon” within her, isolating Tier in her room or basement and permitting her to go only to an arena for training. 272 277 642

Seeking her family’s approval and control over her power, Tier created her own rigorous training regimen, developed coordinated combat skills, and worked to raise her level. Her talent eventually earned her limited freedom, though her father Aridia remained nearby because he was considered capable of stopping her if she lost control. 277

A childhood rampage severely injured Tier’s grandfather, the former Knight Commander of the Royal Knights; his lingering injuries later caused his death. Her isolation resumed, while House Elbain sealed information about her Unique Skill and led others to believe she possessed none. 272 621
