The Life Foundation ultimately lacked the resources and experience to cover its tracks. With Kraft taking a special interest in it, Angela soon uncovered what was happening inside.

"Brother, they're experimenting on homeless people!"

Angela knew this was what Kraft hated most, so she told him as soon as she found out.

"I haven't found out exactly what the experiments involve, but they've recruited large numbers of homeless people around San Francisco. They go in, but none come out. The only one who escaped was probably a successful test subject."

As she spoke, Angela brought up another video. It showed a man whose face was indistinct charging out of a Life Foundation facility, with a group of blue-uniformed security guards chasing him in cars.

Even in the rather blurry footage, it was clear that the escapee's physical abilities far exceeded those of an ordinary person.

"Ah... another successful test subject escapes... Do you think everyone in America is nuts? One after another, they're so keen on human experimentation, and then their test subjects escape..."

Kraft was speechless. How many times had this happened now? He was getting sick of this plotline! Couldn't even one of them learn their lesson?

"It's probably because they succeeded once before. And they've been promoting Captain America ever since World War II. I suppose this is what humans call... nostalgia?"

Angela floated beside Kraft and chimed in.

"Oh, give me a break..."

Kraft rolled his eyes. If even human experimentation could count as nostalgia, just how twisted were these researchers?

"Can you track down the escaped test subject?"

"No problem. He's terrible at covering his tracks, and the Life Foundation has already identified him."

Angela brought up a holographic driver's license in front of Kraft.

"Eddie Brock... I think I've seen that name somewhere."
