The farce finally ended in an even more farcical fashion. Kraft called his three younger sisters over and prepared to head home.
Then someone stopped him.
"Kid, hold on!"
Only Tony Stark would call out to Kraft like that. He hooked an arm around Kraft's neck and dragged him aside.
"Notru isn't going to have that kind of power too, is he?"
"What are you talking about?"
Kraft blinked and played dumb.
"Notru is just Ultron spelled backward!" Tony Stark shot Kraft a fierce glare. "How could I miss a clue that obvious?"
Of course, it hadn't been that simple. Stark had only begun to suspect something after Notru showed an unusual talent for computer programming. Then, putting together a few details and the hint in his name, he had more or less concluded that Notru was probably Ultron.
On top of that, Kraft had funded the orphanage where Notru had previously stayed, which pretty much clinched Tony Stark's suspicions about who was responsible.
"Relax. Notru's body is basically the same as a human's, and he doesn't have any superpowers... probably."
Kraft could have stubbornly denied everything and claimed it was a coincidence, but after thinking it over, he decided that Uncle Tony wouldn't believe him anyway. He might as well come clean.
"What do you mean, probably...?"
Tony Stark's expression darkened.
Honestly, Tony Stark was grateful that Kraft had saved Ultron, but he was also afraid Ultron might cause trouble like the H.E.R.B.I.E. Reed Richards had made.
"Notru is an artificial intelligence, after all. Who knows what changes might occur after his soul enters a human body? These days, even ordinary people can suddenly get superpowers, let alone someone in his unusual situation."
Kraft shrugged. He was confident in his technology, but there was something fundamentally off about this
