After driving Galactus away, Kraft holed up in his laboratory again.
But he wasn't studying the Dragon Bone or the Ultimate Nullifier. He had already learned almost everything he could about the former, while the latter could only be used for annihilation and offered little further research value.
What Kraft was studying now was still the Infinity Stones.
More specifically, the Space Stone.
Since the Space Stone had been placed inside the Portal Gun, Kraft had to draw the gun whenever he wanted to use its spatial abilities. He couldn't wield it as effortlessly as he controlled the Reality Stone and Power Stone through his Orbment.
That hadn't seemed like much of a problem, but during his fight with Galactus, Kraft had realized it did have its drawbacks. If they had been in another parallel world where he couldn't borrow the Ancient One's abilities, Arale would have been in some danger.
Kraft had no way of knowing which would win if Arale's logic-defying abilities clashed with the Ultimate Nullifier, the ultimate weapon of destruction.
So Kraft was now trying to upgrade his Infinity Stone Orbment, incorporating the Space Stone and all the Portal Gun's functions into it.
He hadn't neglected the Soul Stone or Mind Stone, either. He had even left a slot for the Time Stone he would acquire in the future.
Although Kraft had obtained information on the Infinity Gauntlet long ago, that thing, frankly, only allowed the stones' powers to be released smoothly. It offered no protection to its user, so it wasn't much use as a reference for him.
The Infinity Stone Orbment Kraft wanted to build was a device that could freely regulate the stones' output without harming its user.
Naturally, a design that tried to have the best of both worlds wasn't so easy
