Anti-gravity technology.
This kind of thing is still just a fantasy in the real world, but in the dream world, there are far too many related technologies.
Not counting those mysterious floating techniques, and setting aside material limitations, the floating technologies that Kraft can currently replicate alone already number over ten. So, for Stark to think he could have the advantage in aerial control was really overthinking it.
"Can you not hit my head? Uncle Tony is old, and heavy metal rock is a bit too stimulating for Uncle Tony."
Stark, after doing two flips in mid-air to stabilize himself, flew back up, touching his buzzing head and negotiating with Kraft.
"FUMO (No problem)."
Kraft nodded, putting away the electric baton and anti-riot shield he was holding, then pulled out a shark-shaped rocket launcher and slung it over his shoulder.
"Oh... Shit!"
Seeing the menacing-looking rocket launcher and the large shells it fired, which were much bigger than normal rockets, Tony Stark turned and ran.
As a prototype, the Mark II had no other armament besides the Arc Pulse Hand Cannon. He had no intention of testing the defensive capabilities of his Mark II suit against those terrifyingly large shells.
"Are all kids these days so hot-tempered?"
The Mark II performed a beautiful side-flip maneuver in the air, dodging Kraft's Fishbone rocket launcher.
The shell that missed Stark continued flying high into the sky before exploding violently.
"BOOM!!! Crackle, crackle, crackle—"
The enormous golden fireworks illuminated the entire coastline, and countless sparks rained down from the sky like a golden downpour.
"Alright, although he likes pranks, he's still a good kid overall."
Tony Stark, knowing he had been tricked, shrugged and gave Kraft, who had switched to a heavy machine gun, a thumbs-up.
"Wait! My armor is brand new and doesn't have any weapons on it yet, so..." Stark asked in a negotiating tone, "How about we spar a bit?"
Although he had been hit twice by Kraft's baton earlier, that was because he was caught off guard. Besides, Tony Stark had learned some boxing from his bodyguard Happy, so he didn't think he would lose in close combat to a plush toy.
Kraft thought for a moment, put away the six-barreled Gatling gun in his hand, and then assumed a fighting stance.
"FUMO (Okay)."
"Aren't you going to use that stick from before?" Stark pointed at Botakun's round hand and kindly reminded him, "Your soft fists probably don't have much power, right?"
"FUMO (Take this)!"
Kraft didn't offer any further explanation, and Botakun's voice system didn't allow him to explain anyway. So, he chose to charge forward, letting Tony Stark personally experience the power of the λ-Driver System.
"FUMOFUMO (Black Tiger Steals Heart)!"
The λ-Driver System converts the pilot's emotions into a special energy that attaches to the AS and its weapons. After trying to operate it a few times, Kraft found that shouting out the names of finishing moves during attacks could effectively strengthen his emotional output. While it was a bit embarrassing, no one could understand Botakun's language anyway.
Facing Kraft's fierce punch, Tony Stark instinctively raised both arms, crossing them in front of him to block.
"Bang—!"
The soft fist hit Stark's arms with a deafening sound.
Accompanying it was a tremendous force, far exceeding Stark's expectations, which penetrated the iron plating of the Iron Man suit and transferred to his body.
"WTF?!"
Tony Stark, sent flying backward, was completely stunned. He could attribute the immense power to the plush toy's excellent performance, but what about this destructive power?
Tony Stark glanced at the status of the Mark II displayed on the screen. It showed that the arms he had just used to block had sustained some damage. This punch was significantly more powerful than the electric baton from before.
"What kind of strange technology is this now?"
Tony Stark was usually the one surprising others with his black technology. Today, he finally understood how those people felt.
Originally, he just wanted to meet the person behind Red Queen and see if there would be any surprises. Now, it seemed...
"There are a bit too many surprises."
Stark gathered his spirits and assumed the boxing stance he had learned from Happy.
"Come on, kid! Uncle Tony is going to get serious now!"
Then, he was chased and beaten by Kraft.
Tony Stark was deluded to think that a few days of boxing lessons from his bodyguard would be enough to deal with Kraft. Although Kraft didn't know any martial arts, he had fought countless skirmishes and brawls in Hell's Kitchen with a bunch of delinquents back in the day. Dealing with a half-baked fighter like Stark was child's play.
Mr. Tony Stark was feeling quite dejected.
From the moment he saw Kraft's Botakun, this test had spiraled into a farce. If he could, Stark would have ended it long ago, but he was extremely unwilling to give up now.
Because he had been beaten by the unknown kid controlling that comical plush toy from beginning to end. Admitting defeat in such a ridiculous battle was unacceptable to the proud Tony Stark.
"Sir, it's a call from Ms. Pepper."
Jarvis's voice sounded at the opportune moment, giving Stark the excuse he needed.
"Hold on! I need to take a call!"
Stark hurriedly stopped Kraft's pursuit and eagerly answered Pepper's call.
"Hi~ Little Pepper~ Is something wrong at the company again?"
Pepper, on the other end of the phone, frowned. "Are you sick, Tony?"
She was almost sure she'd dialed the wrong number, if not for the familiar voice and tone coming through the phone.
"...Alright, my mind was a bit fuzzy just now."
Stark, feeling a bit cornered, rolled his eyes and brushed off the topic casually.
"So, what's the reason for your call?"
"It's nothing important..." Pepper could tell Tony Stark was being evasive, but she knew it was useless to press him if he didn't want to talk. "It's just that there was a huge firework that suddenly went off over at your place. Tony, are you having a party at home?"
"Oh no, how could I be," Tony Stark vehemently denied. Unlike before he was kidnapped, he was planning to settle down now, so he didn't want Pepper to misunderstand. "I was just setting off some fireworks to celebrate, to celebrate my, uh, new beginning! Yes, that's it!"
"...Alright, Tony, no matter what you're celebrating, please keep the noise down. The shareholders of Stark Industries can't handle any more shocks."
"OK~ I got it."
Just as Pepper was surprised at how agreeable she had become, Tony Stark had already hung up the phone and shrugged at Kraft.
"You heard that too? The commotion earlier was too big. How about we call it a day for now? We can do it again another time."
Stark didn't mention anything about winning or losing, and Kraft didn't mind either, as he had recorded the fight footage anyway.
"FUMO (Okay)."
Kraft nodded, then controlled Botakun to fly into the sky. A beam of light suddenly shot out into the empty sky, illuminating Botakun, seemingly guiding it into the invisible aircraft.
Then Tony Stark watched the funny yet powerful plush toy rapidly shrink until it disappeared.
In Iron Man 2, Tony Stark threw a party and wanted to hit on the undercover Black Widow, etc., because he knew his time was limited, so he started to let loose. At that time, he hadn't realized he had palladium poisoning yet, so he should have still cared about Little Pepper's opinion.
Last night, I learned in the newly added author group that Group Nine were all from the light novel section, so I asked, "Are there any big shots in the group? Like River of Wang, As倾As诉."
Then there was a long silence...
Did I say something wrong?
Also, there are so many tentacle monsters in the group... They update 10,000 words daily just like that, typing 1K in ten minutes, are you serious?
I was completely discouraged and went into a slump
