That evening, Kraft returned home with Bea. Just as he had expected, the first thing Bea did was show off her newly acquired armor to Quinn.

And, just as predictably, Quinn came running to him to complain.

"Boss, you're playing favorites! Awooo!"

Before Kraft could explain, the silly dog wrapped himself around his leg and started howling.

"I want one too! I want a toy that lets me transform too! Awooo!"

The cat thought it was a pretty outfit, while the dog thought it was a fun toy...

Well, fair enough.

"Stop howling! I never said you couldn't have one!"

Kraft grabbed Quinn by the head and pushed him aside.

"You weren't there today, were you? What if I designed some armor and you didn't like it? Come to the lab with me tomorrow, and we'll design a suit for you together."

"No way! I'd love anything you gave me, Boss!"

After hearing Kraft's explanation, Quinn beamed, wagged his tail, and reared up on his hind legs. He threw himself into Kraft's arms and tried to lick his face.

"So I can just design whatever I want?"

Kraft spoke dryly as he fended off Quinn's enthusiasm.

"..."

Quinn froze, then hurriedly added, "Of course, it'd be even better if you could take a few of my suggestions, Boss. Awooo."

"You're getting more shameless by the day."

Kraft tugged at the flesh on either side of Quinn's face, scolding him with a helpless smile.

Once Kraft had soothed Quinn, the dog finally settled down. Bea had wanted to tease him some more, but Kraft ruthlessly put a stop to that.

He watched soap operas with Alice for a while, and before long, it was around ten. With their precise internal clocks, Kraft and Alice both started yawning.

"Good night, big brother."
