"So, what's the truth?"

Once Peter Parker had left, Kraft crossed his legs and leaned sideways against the sofa, his eyes fixed on Martin Lee.

"I'm not an idiot like Peter. That whole spiel about protecting your compatriots won't fool me."

Kraft believed Martin did want to protect his compatriots, and even Asians in general, but that definitely wasn't the main reason. After all, the boss of the Demon Gang wasn't really Martin Lee, but Mr. Negative. According to what Martin had said before, when he became Mr. Negative, his entire disposition turned cold and brutal. He certainly wouldn't be thinking about protecting others.

"Do you remember our earlier conversation about going back to China?"

After a moment of silence, Martin suddenly asked the question.

"Which one?"

Kraft had always wanted to go back, and they'd discussed the subject more than once or twice.

"The last time, after we saw the news about the Hulk," Martin prompted. "We talked about people with special abilities."

"Oh, right. We did." With that reminder, Kraft nodded. "So this has something to do with what we discussed then?"

"That's right. I'd actually already tried to return as an investor, but someone stopped me."

A reminiscent look came over Martin Lee's face.

"There's an official organization back home specifically responsible for managing the special population. Since my powers were beyond my control, they gave me two choices. The first was to return and submit to their supervision, including having a special tracking device injected into my body. The second was to stay in America. I wouldn't normally have to do much, just occasionally pass along information, receive people coming over from their side, things like that. Oh, and collect cultural artifacts that had ended up overseas."
