Only after Melinda May got into her car and drove away did Angela tell Kraft.

"Big brother, that woman wasn't a history professor. She was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent."

Ever since his accidental encounter with Natasha had nearly given him away, Kraft had told Angela not to inform him right away, which was why she had waited until now.

"What? S.H.I.E.L.D.? Have I been exposed again?"

Far from understanding what had just happened, Kraft was even more bewildered.

"If I've been exposed, why would they come asking me all those bizarre questions?"

"You haven't been exposed, big brother," Angela explained. "S.H.I.E.L.D. approached you about something else. I couldn't find the specifics, only that it had something to do with New Mexico, so I searched for recent news about New Mexico..."

The pictures Angela displayed were all so blurry that he couldn't make out what was in the crater.

"I hadn't been paying attention to this before, and by now, S.H.I.E.L.D. has suppressed almost all the relevant information."

"Ah, that's no big deal." Kraft waved a hand. "Worst case, we can just go to New Mexico and see for ourselves."

Before that, though, he had to make a robot that looked exactly like him and leave it here as a cover. After all, S.H.I.E.L.D. had its eye on him again. He just hadn't expected the cause to be a hammer he had made in the past...
