Kraft, who had been teleported back to his laboratory by the emergency first-aid system in his armor, was in pretty bad shape.
Although the armor's insulation had weakened much of the lightning's power at first, Kraft had never really studied the supernatural. Once the lightning pierced his armor, it still inflicted considerable damage.
Extensive electrical burns had left Kraft unconscious. Fortunately, Angela had already prepared a body Repair Pod. The moment he was teleported back, she controlled the laboratory's robotic arms to place him inside it.
Pale green fluid quickly filled the Repair Pod, and Kraft's injuries began healing visibly.
This restoration fluid, which combined technologies from several dream worlds, was exceptionally effective at emergency treatment. Before long, Kraft's body had fully recovered.
Normally, once electrical burns of this severity had been healed, Kraft should have regained consciousness. Yet he remained in a coma.
Angela operated the Repair Pod, draining its restorative fluid and replacing it with an orange-red nutrient solution. With so little knowledge of the supernatural, all she could do was follow conventional treatment procedures.
Floating in the nutrient solution, Kraft knew nothing of what was happening outside, because after losing consciousness, he had entered another dream.
Although he was a little worried about his condition after being knocked unconscious by lightning, the fact that he could dream probably meant his life wasn't in danger. Besides, he couldn't wake up before the dream ended anyway, so he could only set his worries aside and examine his surroundings.
There was nothing particularly remarkable about the surroundings. It was an ordinary laboratory, and on the surface, its technological level seemed roughly comparable to that of the real world.
The instruments scattered around were a varied assortment of equipment. It felt a little like Kraft's own private, all-purpose laboratory, leaving him
