An awkward atmosphere spread through the laboratory, and Kraft silently withdrew his hand.
"Looks like I used the wrong spell."
"Isn't that a line from The Lion King, meow? How does that count as a spell?"
Bea swished her tail in confusion. Just as Quinn loved watching Tom and Jerry, Bea had a soft spot for animated movies starring felines.

Still unwilling to give up, he tried several more spells from his dreams. Unfortunately, nothing happened, and that peculiar sensation disappeared too...
Or rather, he had stopped noticing it.
When Kraft concentrated, he could still faintly sense that energy, but compared to how it had felt at first, it was almost nonexistent.
"So this is residual power from Mjolnir inside me? And now it's dissipating?"
That was his guess, but Kraft felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity with the situation, as though he had seen it somewhere before...

Kraft suddenly remembered the dream he had had before waking up. Wasn't this exactly the process of an AIM Diffusion Field forming after successful esper development, then gradually stabilizing?
Naturally, the dream had included equipment for detecting AIM Diffusion Fields. With Angela's help, Kraft soon built one.
"Just as I thought..."
Kraft scratched his head. He hadn't even injected himself with drugs or run electricity through his body, yet he had awakened just like that?
Could the electrical treatment he had received while making the hammer have happened to meet the requirements for esper development?
For now, that was his only guess. Still, this worked out well: it saved him from having to experiment on his own body. Although Kraft could accept procedures of
