Background / History

Xu Xiao transmigrated into the Taiyue Empire as an imperial member, retaining the original body’s memories. Aware of the gods’ influence over the continent, he resolved to become strong enough to avoid becoming subject to them and to contend for control of Douluo Continent. 1

At his Martial Soul Awakening, Xu Xiao gained the Sun Martial Soul, an Extreme Fire attribute Martial Soul, alongside Twin Pupils. His system granted him summoning counts and concealed information connected to him from Tang San’s observation. 1

He used his first summons to obtain Xiang Yu as a bodyguard and Xiao He as his manor steward. While Xiang Yu trained him in combat, Xiao He taught him governance, military strategy, and administration. 1 4 6

After six years of cultivation and political preparation, Xu Xiao absorbed a 100,000-year Three-Headed Hellhound Soul Ring and rapidly advanced into the Soul King realm. He later ascended the Taiyue Empire’s throne, publicly pledging to protect its people even from gods. 12 13 41
