Soul Masters arose as a cultivation system after humans reportedly persuaded certain Soul Beasts to sacrifice themselves, allowing humans to create large numbers of powerful martial-soul wielders. This account is given by Calons, an Earth Core inscription master, during his explanation of the continent's ancient conflict. 361

A Soul Master's growth centers on Soul Power, a Martial Soul, Soul Rings, and Soul Skills. Soul Rings are normally obtained by hunting Soul Beasts, but the Tower of Myriad Laws can instead simulate a suitable Soul Beast battle and grant Soul Skills after victory. 15 16
