Obito and Orochimaru disrupted the Chunin Exam by bringing Tobirama and Hashirama Senju into the conflict, forcing Naruto to fight Hashirama while the Kage confronted the danger. Hashirama’s reanimation ended, but Nagato and Konan left wary of Obito, Madara, and the secrets surrounding Nagato’s Rinnegan.

• Obito claimed to be Madara at the Four Kage’s meeting, while Kakashi later confronted him and tried to reach the part of Obito still connected to Rin, and Orochimaru and Tobirama interrupted their encounter and escaped with Obito.
• Daren Yi and Izumi Uchiha opened the Chunin Exam, where examinees faced a deceptive written test and a Forest of Death challenge, while the Sage of Six Paths met Sasuke and gave him a stone book and a Magatama Pendant.
• During the Forest of Death exam, Sasuke recruited Suigetsu, Neji defeated a Kumogakure team without killing them, and the Kage gathered at the exam site as Obito and Orochimaru revealed their plans.
• Orochimaru summoned Tobirama with Impure World Reincarnation, and Obito warned that Hashirama was approaching, and Nagato agreed to control Hashirama as part of Obito’s plan to force peace through the threat of immortal weapons.
• Naruto let Hashirama through the barrier and fought him with Wood Style, while Hashirama learned about Naruto’s family, his bond with Sasuke, and the future he hoped to build.
• Obito interrupted the battle before Hashirama could enter Sage Mode, and Hashirama questioned whether his dream of bringing the clans together had come true as his reanimated body began to crumble.
• Naruto vowed to realize Hashirama’s dream, the barrier fell, and Naruto introduced Kabuto as his adopted son before Hashirama’s reanimation ended.
• Nagato released the Impure World Reincarnation Jutsu, then returned to Amegakure with Konan after they decided to let Konohagakure and Madara test each other, and Nagato privately worried about his Rinnegan’s response to Hashirama.

Naruto’s illusionary return to childhood led him to remake Konohagakure, but Jigen arrived to claim him as Isshiki’s vessel and laid waste to the village. As Naruto’s allies sacrificed themselves to resist Jigen, Fugaku urged him to remember the people who had shared his ideals.

• Daren Yi returned to the Forest of Death, continued the Chunin Exam, and showed the Kage the Sage of Six Paths’ power before giving the Konoha 11 and others Bitter Tea of the Mortal World.
• Naruto awoke as a two-year-old in an illusionary Konohagakure, attacked the village’s oppressors, and used Wood Style to seize control and reshape the village with the Uchiha and Hyuga clans.
• Jigen entered Konohagakure, killed Kakashi and Kanon Shiori, and implanted Karma in Naruto after battling him.
• Naruto and Konohagakure’s forces fought Jigen, while Tsunade and Jiraiya sacrificed themselves to summon Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju through Impure World Reincarnation.
• Hashirama battled Jigen as Fugaku revealed to Naruto that Tsunade and Jiraiya had died and urged him to flee with a scroll of collected bodily tissue.
• Jigen revealed that he had secretly followed Naruto and intended to use him as a vessel, while Inoichi, Choza, Might Guy, and Shikaku died trying to defend Naruto and Konohagakure.
• Fugaku encouraged Naruto to remember the village’s shared ideals, while the Uchiha Legion and Hyuga Legion killed themselves in support of him and the Imperial Guard Legion began freeing him from his shackles.

Naruto defeated Jigen in the collapsing Illusion World, then joined Daren Yi in Sasuke’s world as Sasuke awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan and remade Konohagakure through force. Sasuke asked Daren Yi to preserve the Illusion World and its people, and Daren Yi warned that doing so would cost him.

• Naruto used the Cheat’s white light to erase Jigen’s Karma and data, then fused it with his Wood Golem and Perfect Susanoo to pin Jigen beneath the Light Giant.
• Naruto learned the Illusion World was collapsing, and Daren Yi explained that Jigen was not the real Ōtsutsuki Isshiki before taking Naruto to Sasuke’s Illusion World.
• Daren Yi showed Sasuke and Itachi Naruto’s Mangekyō Sharingan, then spun a story about the Uchiha’s hidden influence that led Itachi to conclude they were secretly working toward peace.
• Sasuke reunited with Fugaku and Mikoto, then awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan through his wish to protect his loved ones and chose to live as himself instead of imitating Itachi.
• Sasuke challenged Hiruzen Sarutobi and used his Perfect Susanoo to carve Konohagakure into sections, while his Guard Dojutsu shielded the surviving villagers from injury.
• Sasuke killed Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu, defeated Root, and announced that he wanted to be the Third Hokage and erase Hiruzen’s name and statue.
• Sasuke reshaped Konohagakure and devastated the other major villages, while Orochimaru pursued the immortality technique revealed by Shimura Danzō.
• Sasuke asked Daren Yi to preserve the people in his Illusion World so they could live complete lives, and Daren Yi warned that Sasuke would have to pay a price.

Naruto and Sasuke learned that their worlds faced the Dark Upheaval and encountered Neji’s violent attempt to break the Hyuga Clan’s oppression. They brought survivors from other Konohagakure worlds together, where Neji prepared allies to fight the Otsutsuki and Hinata began questioning her identity.

• Daren Yi warned Naruto and Sasuke that the growing lives and souls of their world threatened to crush them unless they reached the Immortal God realm, then bound them to the Illusion World so it could revive them after death.
• Daren Yi took Naruto and Sasuke to a ruined Konohagakure, where they met Hinata and learned that Neji had destroyed the Hyuga Clan and killed many of the village’s strongest fighters.
• Neji returned to the past, witnessed Hizashi’s suicide, and killed Hiashi as the Caged Bird Curse Mark massacred the Branch Family, then transformed himself and declared his plan to form a Demonic Sect against the Otsutsuki Clan.
• Neji fought Hiruzen and Konohagakure’s ninja, while Daren Yi explained that Neji had spared civilians and weaker fighters, and Naruto and Sasuke then helped Hinata’s world relocate its residents through a gate to Sasuke’s Konohagakure.
• Sasuke welcomed the arriving villagers as Third Hokage, and counterparts from the many worlds reunited while the hardened Hinata urged the other Hinatas to rely on themselves.
• Neji presented Naruto with a deadly cultivation technique for Byakugan users and revealed that several Kage had died testing it, while he and Naruto recognized each other as comrades facing the Otsutsuki and Dark Upheaval.
• Naruto proposed a twelve-seat Konoha Supreme Council, the village leaders debated how to divide resources, and eleven Nejis asked the young Neji to teach them his technique as eleven Hiashis begged him not to.
• Kabuto spoke with Hinata about losing his name and finding purpose through usefulness, while planning to help her and earn Naruto and Neji’s favor.
