Roland Wants to Expand the Army?

Roland now knew full well that even earning a victory reward was no easy feat. He had not even considered a total-annihilation reward. Going up against them now would be no different from asking the Nazgûl, "Hey, I'm here to spend a fortune buying my own death!" It would not be easy to wipe out the northern Undead Army either. The Undead Army was an endless sea of bodies; it would already count as the ancestors' spirits watching over them if the allied forces could hold them back.

Still, the dwarves and elves could probably defeat the Undead. After all, Roland himself had beaten the Orcs into the ground! Those brainless skeletons had to be easier to deal with than Orcs!

Overall, Lagrange's war was basically over, but Lagrange's war had only just begun. Roland desperately needed to expand his territory and power. The main quest had not progressed at all. For that reason, Roland had already prepared to abandon his former idea of not recruiting ordinary soldiers. This war had clearly knocked some sense into him. Without enough satellite cities and territory to form a barrier, enemies could easily appear right beneath his feet. Expanding his territory was imperative!

"Tch! Why did Bai Yi turn out to be the only one taking it easy this time?" The more Roland thought about it, the more unfair it felt. Bai Yi was clearly so close by, yet those damned Orcs had insisted on coming to make trouble for him? (Nazgûl: Could it be that the Swift River froze over, making us closer to you?)
