Joker was a little sleepy right now.
Though he was the top dog among Gotham's supervillains, he didn't spend twenty hours a day making bombs and four hours causing trouble. Batman had that kind of boundless energy, not Joker. Joker needed to eat and sleep.
Anyone who was sleeping soundly in the middle of the night, only to see a ghostly green glow light up downstairs while someone shouted some kind of oath loud enough to keep them awake, probably wouldn't be in a very good mood.
Joker vaguely recognized the figure below as Green Lantern, but the night was too dark for him to be certain. Besides, that green glow was actually coming from some green-emitting lamp he had summoned.
Joker had little interest in creatures that weren't Batman, but he couldn't tolerate someone disturbing his sweet dreams either, so he casually grabbed a bomb from a drawer and threw it over.
Boom!
It was really only a grenade, not particularly powerful, but the other party seemed to have been seriously injured all at once. The green-glowing lamp also flew away and stopped shining.
Joker saw countless green sparks suddenly burst apart and vanish into the air. He figured that lamp might have been a battery. His explosion had not only made it leak electricity, but had given this Green Lantern a pretty nasty shock as well.
But Joker didn't care what damage he had caused. He drew the curtains and prepared to go back to sleep, only to suddenly hear someone across the street shout, "Damn it!"
That shout was rather loud. Joker noticed that many nearby windows had lit up, and clearly quite a few people had been awakened.
