When Schiller returned to the woods, the person he had knocked unconscious had not woken up. He dressed him in the clothes he had changed out of and turned out the pockets, which had contained nothing to begin with.

This would make him think he had merely been robbed, that the goal had been to search his pockets rather than change his clothes. This kind of robbery was the mainstream now: no one got hurt, and no large sums of property were taken. Most people simply accepted their bad luck, because reporting it and cooperating with an investigation might not yield anything, while also delaying their work. Nothing was more valuable than a job these days.

Perhaps after waking up, the man would even be glad he had been so cautious and had not kept anything valuable in his work clothes, leaving that stupid thief empty-handed.

Besides, ordinary people did not have the ability to inspect the wrinkles in their clothes and determine whether they had been taken off.

When Schiller returned to the clothing section, Raven had already picked out three outfits. It seemed she had completely forgotten about what was in the trunk until the instant she saw Schiller again.
