The moment the water drained away, Peter started frantically messaging Schiller. But Mediocrity was not one of the other personality traits; he could not multitask. If he was doing one thing, he could not do another. He was busy smashing the rooftop lock open with Jerome's twin brother, so he did not see the messages.

After finally smashing open the rooftop door, they discovered as they headed down that this floor really was completely flooded. The water from one swimming pool was neither much nor little, but perhaps some rooms were sealed off and had not flooded. The water in the hallway reached at least up to their waists.

This water really did seem somewhat different. Walking through it was like wading through a swamp, drastically slowing them down.

As Schiller walked forward, he felt something trip him. He reached down and found a carpet that had been soaked apart by the water. When he flipped it over, he found some patterns underneath.

But since he could not understand them, he threw the carpet away.

Cobblepot ahead of him was tripped as well. His legs were already bad, and this sent him plunging straight into the water. Schiller helped him up, but judging by his expression, he seemed like he would rather have plunged headfirst into the water.

Schiller reached down again and scooped something up, only to find it was a human head. He promptly threw it away too.

They made their way to where the elevator was. Jerome's twin brother had just been about to say that the elevator was probably misaligned and unusable, but on second thought, it had been soaked in water. Even if it were aligned, it should not have been usable.

With a ding, the elevator doors opened.

They looked inside and saw that
