Greed smiled at Bruce in return and said, "It seems your teacher taught you quite a lot."
"He always has. Was the deaths of the people at the ball directly related to you?"
"No." Greed said, "That was another bizarre incident."
"The two happened very close together, creating some strange chemical reaction that ultimately led to everyone's deaths."
"Yes."
"Did you foresee it?"
"Not entirely."
"Did you fan the flames?"
Instead of answering, Greed said, "Don't you think you're acting a little too familiar with me? This is far beyond what your Psychoanalytic Method could achieve."
Bruce smiled. "My teacher taught me a great deal."
"But you have never learned so well as you have at this very moment." Greed looked into his eyes again and said, "I hope you are learning, rather than merely parroting. Tell me about yourself."
"I have nothing much to say." Bruce said, "I have had many interesting patients. You know, people who narrowly escape bizarre incidents are left with severe psychological trauma."
"Aren't you just an intern?"
"That is what interns do." Bruce said, "Did you expect licensed doctors to deal with such difficult patients?"
"It seems some patients left an especially deep impression on you."
"Yes." Bruce nodded. "Some had not even fully escaped the effects of the bizarre incidents. They left a profound impression on me."
"For example?"
"There was a very weak female patient who had just undergone surgery. Her lower body had been torn apart, leaving her with such severe psychological trauma that she did not even dare share a bed with her husband."
"I hope you are not about to tell some tabloid story."
"Of course not. According to her account, someone possessed by a monster broke into her home and raped her."
"Isn't that exactly a tabloid story?"
