Schiller walked into the spacious, brightly lit hospital room. Harley lay in bed under the covers, boredly trying to spit the cherry pits in her mouth accurately into the trash can beside her.

"How are you feeling, ma'am?" Schiller walked over with a smile. "Your attending physician told me the delivery went fairly smoothly. How do you feel now?"

"Not bad." Harley puffed out her cheeks. "It's just boring in the hospital. Jack won't let me leave, insisting I stay under observation for another week. I'm practically suffocating here."

"It's good to stay under observation a while longer," Schiller advised. He sat down beside the bed, poured Harley a glass of water, and asked, "Have you decided on the children's names?"

"Thomas and Henry." Harley shrugged. "Aren't they painfully old-fashioned?"

"I thought they would be Thomas and John," Schiller said. "They're actually not bad. Names like that are hard to go wrong with. Was that Jack's idea?"

"More or less." Harley nodded. "He wanted to name the eldest David, but I thought Thomas was better. They're all old-fashioned anyway, so we might as well choose the more common one."

Schiller chatted with Harley for a while, then saw the Pale Rider approaching with a thick stack of reports. He stood and gave up his place to him. The Pale Rider nodded at him.

"The children are doing quite well, but..."

The moment the children were mentioned, Harley became nervous. She kept craning her neck, trying to look at the reports in the Pale Rider's hands. He adjusted her bed to help her lie back properly, then said, "The good news is that there are no physical problems. The bad news is that we may have to raise two Superpower Users."
