They had assumed Bruce would have his butler or secretary buy it and deliver it, or at worst drive there himself. Instead, he did not head for the door at all. He went to the window and jumped out.

Superman was shocked, but before his expression could even change, Bruce had already taken flight, soaring over the building like a nimble bird toward the street on the other side.

Superman turned to look at Batman, giving him a thorough once-over as though meeting him for the first time.

"I can't fly, Clark," Batman told him. "I'm human. Humans can't fly."
