Aisha's elementary school was fundamentally different from the one Betty and Billy attended. Aisha went to the most expensive and best private elementary school in the South Side, where she had received bilingual English and French instruction from a young age. After normal dismissal hours, there were mandatory enrichment classes. Sometimes even the parents had to attend classes and take part in parent-child activities with their children.
Naturally, such an elementary school was excellent. In fact, the other two children could afford it as well, especially Billy. Victor and Nora's salaries were enough to send him to a good school, but Shivan had recommended an ordinary elementary school in the East Side.
It was not that Shivan was settling a personal score. Elite schools simply were not for ordinary people. Aisha's schedule was packed from the moment she arrived at school at 7:30 in the morning until 3:30 in the afternoon, and afterward she still had to attend enrichment classes. Those classes lasted until seven in the evening, and if her grades were poor, she might even have to stay for tutoring.
Although Aisha looked like a human little girl, she was not actually human. Her intelligence and energy far surpassed those of ordinary humans, so handling coursework of that intensity took no effort at all.
But if Billy and Betty tried that, they would end up in a psychiatric hospital within a month.
Billy had originally been a small-town boy. Not only had he never gone to school, he had not even received basic common-sense education. If he were thrown straight into bilingual classes, he might not understand a single word.
Although Betty was introverted and quiet and looked like the studious type, her personality might leave her socially maladjusted. Yet socializing was a crucial part of elite education.
