Clark had actually considered the cooperation Amanda mentioned. He had super vision and super hearing, but he could not stay focused every second of every day. Unless there was some major disturbance like the monsters' arrival last time, he would not notice smaller disasters happening far away.

Yet the death toll from such disasters was probably no lower than that of major catastrophes. If he could save people, Clark wanted to do so. It was not as though it took much effort.

But if he spent every day patrolling Earth, he would probably have no time left for himself. He needed rest too. So if someone could notify him at critical moments, that would be ideal.

Amanda led Clark into a spacious circular office. Several enormous screens stood in the center. Amanda operated the system as she explained, "We mainly deal with disasters that ordinary people cannot resolve and that require Superpower Users to intervene. Priority is determined by the scope of the impact and the number of victims. We have already hired some Superpower Users as well. You will not be expected to solve every problem."

Clark stared at the screens and saw that people really were carrying out disaster relief. Someone was helping straighten a leaning building, someone was rescuing an expedition trapped in a blizzard, and someone else was searching for ships amid a storm.

"It looks pretty good," Clark said.

"Yes, and we will not have you work for nothing. We charge rescue fees to these people and give you a proportional share. At the same time, we will provide you with the best insurance. If you run into any trouble, you can come to us."

Amanda turned around and said, "Superpower Users are destined to be extraordinary. You will attract a great deal of attention,
