In a Gotham hospital, Lex had a bandage wrapped around his forehead, while Bruce had one around his arm. Their argument could be heard from two corridors away, though whether anyone could understand it was another matter entirely.

Standing outside the door with his arms folded, Clark said to Bat-Cat on his shoulder, "I really don't understand what they have to argue about. I can't understand any of the things they're saying..."

To his surprise, Bat-Cat stepped on his shoulder, sharpened his claws against the wall, and said, "What exactly is that Lex talking about???"

"You can't understand it either, right? Even if they have an academic disagreement, they could discuss it calmly. Why do they have to fight? Fighting is wrong."

"I already told you, my safety measures are fine. You're too conservative. And regarding human experimentation..."

"This isn't the same as medicine." Clark retorted, "That energy looks extremely dangerous. I still support throwing all of it into the sun and destroying it."
