Duncan stood before the enormous black throne for a long time.
He knew this was another "fragment" of Sasloca after he had been shattered to pieces. Yet this fragment could no longer leave the throne—back in the era when the Deep Sea Era had been founded, he had been permanently anchored at the beginning and end of time as one of the foundations of the shelter, becoming part of the vast system left behind by Navigator One.
But then he found himself wondering... Did the other "Kings" know about this? When the Crawling King had decided to "build" part of the King of Dreams' remains into the shelter, how had they discussed the matter?
"Make use of everything," the tomb keeper replied calmly to Duncan's question. "Back then, they did not have many resources. Everything that could be put to use had to serve a purpose—if the creator's plan failed, he too would be used in the next one."
Duncan nodded lightly, then left the platform where the throne stood and strolled onto the walkway. He slowly walked forward past those weathered ancient pillars, but just as he neared the end, he suddenly stopped. "Is there anything else you want to show me?"

"Then it seems it's time to leave." Duncan raised his head and looked at the twilight-like chaos above, the "sky" simulated by some unknown source of light. "The people outside are still waiting for news."
