As the shadows in the Spirit World rapidly receded from around the Lost Homeland, the pitch-black sea gradually returned to its usual azure. Daylight from the Real World and thin mist drifting around the ships blanketed the entire ocean.
Nina ran from her room to the deck and quickly spotted the strange great ship not far ahead of the Lost Homeland, wrapped in Eerie Green Flame and nearly torn to pieces.
The vessel, destroyed by a massive explosion and now driven entirely by Spectral Flame, was slowly decelerating but still sailing onward. In the direction its bow pointed lay the "borderlands" that had once appeared in textbooks, but which they were truly seeing for the first time today.
A magnificent wall of dense fog stretched from sky to sea. Waterfall-like clouds poured down from atop the immense wall, becoming a thin haze that spread across the entire sea. Before it, everything seemed tiny—despite having witnessed many unbelievable things aboard the Lost Homeland, Nina could not help widening her eyes before letting out a long cry: "Waaah—"
Shirley ran out as well, leaned over the rail, and gazed into the distance alongside Nina. "Waaah—"
The moment her voice faded, A'gou's voice drifted gloomily from the shadows. "That's why I keep telling you to read more. If you had even a slightly larger vocabulary, you wouldn't only know how to say 'waaah' after seeing something as magnificent as the borderlands' curtain..."
