Though theoretically speaking, Anomaly 077 was not exactly a normal "deceased person" either, everyone felt they could at least give it a try.

So, more than ten minutes later, the sailor who had been curled up in a corner of the lower deck slacking off was startled awake by a mass of hurried, chaotic footsteps. When he widened his eyes, he saw the captain leading everyone aboard toward him in a rush. Before he could react, Vana strode over, grabbed the mummy by the collar, and yanked him upright.

The sailor had never seen such a spectacle. After Vana hauled him up, he noticed the fierce, murderous-looking—expectant—gazes gathered around him. The mummy instantly began trembling down to his molars, shrinking his neck as he tried to retreat. "I... I was just finding a place to nap. That shouldn't violate the Crew Code... And even if it did, you can't all gang up to beat me, can you?"

"Stop napping. It's not like you can sleep anyway," Duncan said as he stepped forward from behind the others, giving Anomaly 077 a once-over. "We need you for something important."

"Something important?" The sailor froze, then realized the looks around him did not seem to be murderous after all. He hurriedly straightened up and adjusted his clothes. Keeping an eye on Vana beside him—he was still worried that this beautiful warrior might casually touch him and shatter his bones—he asked curiously, "What is it? Didn't we just reach the God of Death's node? Are we heading back already?"

Duncan waved a hand and got straight to the point. "Precisely because we've reached the God of Death's node—we need a deceased person to see if we can reactivate the guidance here."

The sailor stared blankly, unable to make sense of it for a while.
