The Secret of the Fire Shadow Martial Soul
"The direct connection between the soul and the Martial Soul allowed me to see a different side hidden within the Fire Shadow universe."
The scorching heat of flames and the icy coldness of shadows—these two completely opposite auras coexist in Fire Shadow.
Aside from the power of fire that I feel most deeply on ordinary days, I have never felt another power contained within my Martial Soul as profoundly as I do today: the Shadow Power.
Huo Wu flipped her right hand, and a phantom black shadow suddenly appeared in her white palm.
A slightly transparent, gray-black circular shadow floated above Huo Wu's palm.
"The Shadow Power?"
Quan Yi immediately activated his Scarlet Dragon Eye to observe what this floating 'shadow' actually was.
Beneath the Scarlet Dragon Eye, Quan Yi saw a peculiar Dark Element.
Simply put, it's a variant of Dark Element, except that it's more ethereal and lacks a tangible feel compared to ordinary Dark Element.
"Can I touch it?"
Quan Yi asked curiously, Huo Wu didn't refuse.
When Quan Yi reached out to touch the phantom, his hand passed right through it, without him feeling anything.
More importantly, it looks no different from a normal shadow.
That's right, it looks exactly like a normal shadow.
When Quan Yi uses his Scarlet Dragon Eye to observe shadows, he sees the same thing.
Taiyi normal shadows, this one is controlled by Huo Wu.
"This is the Essence of a Martial Soul, just like the essence of the Dark Gold Yang Dragon Armor is the Ultimate Gold."
It is an important component of Martial Soul. Techniques like Purgatory Shadow Flash Kill and Shadow Domain are applications of Shadow Power.
However, all along, I've been using this power unconsciously, without truly mastering it.
Huo Wu Dancer waved her hand, shooting the Shadow Power in her hand behind Quan Yi.
The Black Shadow Ball instantly disappeared into Quan Yi's shadow, and the next second, his shadow rippled like the surface of water.
A black phantom, identical in form to Quan Yi, stood beside Quan Yi.
At the same time, Quan Yi's body was Entanglement by a weak binding force.
"This is the control ability of the Shadow Domain, but I don't feel the Domain Power."
Of course, the binding force was too weak to stop Quan Yi speaking.
It wasn't that Quan Yi's strength was too great, but rather that the force itself was very weak.
However, what's important is not the force, but that Huo Wu controlled Quan Yi's shadow and, consequently, Quan Yi's physical body without using her Domain Power.
This is like Huo Wu not using Soul Skill, but relying solely on pure Fire Element control to ignite firewood.
This means that Huo Wu has successfully mastered the Shadow Power.
"That's right, this is a direct application of pure Shadow Power."
Without the support of firelight, its controllability would be greatly reduced.
Moreover, my current control over the Shadow Power is too low. Just separating it takes a lot of effort. Controlling someone else's shadow on top of that is even more difficult.
However, it's not without its advantages. Compared to conspicuous light, pure Shadow Power is far more subtle and harder to detect.
With a Huo Wu of her right hand, Huo Wu unleashed Shadow Power from the raised Huo Wu, which returned to her hand.
"What exactly is the Shadow Power?"
Quan Yi raised a fundamental question.
Huo Wu thought for a moment, then replied, "I'm not quite sure either, but what I'm sure of is that the Shadow Power is a component of the Fire Shadow Martial Soul; it's the other side of the coin."
The stronger the firelight, the stronger the Shadow Power will become.
When my consciousness delved into the Martial Soul, I discovered that the flames and the icy shadows contained within the Martial Soul were basically evenly matched.
In other words, the strength of my Fire Element is directly proportional to the strength of my Shadow Power.
The shadow, which exists in relation to light, is born into the world in the form of Martial Soul.
Therefore, it no longer relies on external light for its existence, but instead relies on its own firelight.
After hearing Huo Wu's explanation, Quan Yi finally realized the terrifying power of the Shadow Power.
"In other words, the Shadow Power is born within the Martial Soul; it is a power that is naturally born along with the firelight."
It can generate power equivalent to the power of fire without requiring additional Soul Power consumption.
This also means that the Fire Shadow Martial Soul naturally possesses double the power.
While focusing on the Shadow Power, Quan Yi's Scarlet Dragon Eye were also keeping an eye on Huo Wu and the Fire Shadow.
However, he never saw any fluctuations in Soul Power or Divine Power.
He had always been curious about the source of this power, and now it seemed that it came from the Martial Soul itself.
"But why isn't this power manifested in the Martial Soul Avatar state?"
Quan Yi was still somewhat confused.
Both states involve fusion with the Fire Shadow; the only difference lies in the physical body.
One is when the body and soul are completely integrated into the Fire Shadow; the other is when the pure soul is integrated into the Fire Shadow.
"The true body! Perhaps it is the existence of the true body that prevents me from recognizing its shadow."
Huo Wu gave a thoughtful reply.
The Fire Shadow exists based on a physical body, but it is not the physical body.
Perhaps to truly understand it, one cannot stand from the perspective of the entity itself; one must stand from the perspective of the shadow.
But to stand in the shadow's position, one must abandon the original body.
However, abandoning one's true self also means death.
In a state of death, even if you want to sense the presence of a shadow, it will be of no use.
This is simply a paradox.
"Those are really harsh conditions."
If it weren't for the Phoenix's Protection, which changed the interdependent relationship Human and Shadow, wouldn't anyone else possessing the Fire Shadow Martial Soul never have been able to truly access the world within the Martial Soul?
Quan Yi suddenly found this matter somewhat unbelievable.
Huo Wu also felt very lucky. She said, "Yes, the Soul Ring of the Wutong provides the key to unlock the inner world of the Martial Soul."
However, we should also thank Yang Quan.
"If it weren't for the terrifyingly high temperature of Yang Quan, which suppressed my regenerated body to a state of 'death,' I might never have been able to unlock the treasure hidden within my Martial Soul."
Indeed, given Huo Wu's strength and physical prowess, there is probably no one on the continent who could beat her into this state while Huo Wu was in a state of super-fast recovery.
Only by drawing upon the boundless power of heaven and earth could such a situation be achieved.
However, Quan Yi did not entirely agree with Huo Wu's statement.
"No, meeting the external conditions is not enough. Even if others meet the same conditions, most people cannot withstand the same pain."
Huo Wu, this is the hidden passage you carved out through your indomitable will and ambition.
This is definitely not just simple luck!
Quan Yi affirmed Huo Wu's efforts in a firm tone, and even called out Huo Wu's name for it.
Huo Wu Quan Yi's rebuttal, Huo Wu felt a warmth in her heart. He had seen all the hardships these past few days, and nothing was more comforting than that.
At the same time, Quan Yi's words deepened Huo Wu's love for him.
The flowers by my ear seemed to sense the intense love, and a faint golden-red halo appeared on their petals, which was truly captivating.
