Allen stared at the two figures about to arrive through the Rainbow Bridge and slowly rose from his chair.
There was no need to ask. Those two living treasures were Thor and Loki, brothers from different fathers and mothers.
Their appearance marked the beginning of the Thor: Ragnarok storyline. It meant Hela would break free from her seal and stage an Asgardian version of "King's Return," a grand family melodrama.
Likewise, Allen would obtain some of the things he wanted.
Without the slightest hesitation!
Before Loki and Thor arrived, Allen grabbed Artoria's hand and vanished from the beach in an instant.
Other than the wineglass on the table beside Odin and several delicious Azerath specialties, there was no longer any trace proving they had ever been there.
A few minutes later, outside a sanatorium that was being demolished, Loki and Thor stood by the roadside, staring at everything in stunned disbelief.
Thor in particular had a twitching mouth as he explained to his brother, "I swear! This is where I left him."
"Did you dump him at a crosswalk?" Thor turned and demanded, staring into his brother's eyes.
He believed that, given Loki's personality, he was absolutely capable of doing something so "unfilial."
After all, ever since learning that his true identity was that of a Frost Giant, Loki's relationship with Odin had been extremely tense. At one point, they had nearly come to blows.
Although Queen Frigga later helped ease the tension between them somewhat, they were still far from the old days of a loving father and dutiful son.
"No! It was inside this sanatorium that's being torn down." Loki hurriedly denied it.
What a joke!
That was Odin—the supreme ruler of Asgard, the adoptive father who had raised him since childhood.
