Commissar Cain swung a Chainsword whose motor roared violently.

The Chainsword suddenly slashed through the air before embedding itself deep in the hard chest of a Metal skull.

Countless rapidly spinning teeth continuously sprayed sparks everywhere.

The next second, before Commissar Cain could pull the Chainsword free—

A massive cog-toothed axe of the Adeptus Mechanicus came crashing down with a terrifying, piercing howl, blasting several Necron warriors who had been closing in on Commissar Cain flying!

"I say, Tybalt, how much farther are we from the laboratory we escaped from? More and more skeletons are catching up to us!"

With incredibly nimble footwork, Commissar Cain quickly ducked beneath streak after streak of green light.

He swept his gaze around, glanced at the Mortal Warriors who had suffered heavy casualties, then turned and shouted at Enginseer Tybalt, who was tearing through the enemy ranks.

Enginseer Tybalt, having heard Commissar Cain's call, did not answer immediately.

A metal tail suddenly rose from beneath the figure's tattered red robes.

Brilliant Melta Beams abruptly blossomed from its tip, piercing through and melting dozens of Necrons in succession!

"This is the entrance area of the artifact laboratory. The actual testing grounds are still some distance away!"

"Don't worry, those skeletons will not get in so easily. It is fortunate we did not activate the self-destruct mechanism
