Arc 75Return to MUV World

The Burning Legion helped unite Earth’s forces, destroyed BETA nests, and returned to Prometheus to merge with the Overlord Legion and develop new technology. The Legion then returned to MUV World, where Xiao Ran began a covert campaign to rebuild its influence and prepare to eliminate every extraterrestrial nest in the Solar System.

  • Char and the other pilots fought back the BETA while Zengar sent the young pilots from Yokohama Base into combat.
  • Zengar led Miyoshi Meiya and the rookies through a live exercise that destroyed more than eight thousand BETA, and Shirakawa Shuu used a Reaction Missile to wipe out an infested city.
  • At Yukon Base, the Soviet Union, the Far East, and the United Nations Army announced their merger into the Earth Federation Government, while the Legion prepared to attack BETA nests.
  • The Legion destroyed ten nests, learned that Earth’s Primordial Nest contained valuable G Elements, and completed its mission before returning to Prometheus with Shirakawa Shuu holding the Ultimate Mission Card.
  • Xiao Ran merged the Overlord Legion with the Burning Legion, organized teams and training, and oversaw research that produced Super AI, new mecha, and a powerful battleship.
  • The Technicians completed the Berserk Beast Squads and Mazinger Kaiser, and Xiao Ran converted Shirakawa Shuu’s MUV Mission Card into a Legion Mission to eliminate every extraterrestrial nest in the Solar System within three years.
  • The Legion arrived at Yukon Base one year after its previous visit and discovered that the Federation had fractured, leaving it in control of Yukon Base and a few other locations.
  • Xiao Ran sent teams to regain influence in the Federation, Soviet Union, and Far East, investigate the Moon and Mars, and establish mecha production while Yuzes gathered loyalists and collected dead BETA for G Element research.
Chapters 1871–1895 Vol. 19 Read

Ch. 1871The Beginning of Change

Char and the Revenants used beam weapons to slaughter the BETA, while the Air Force prepared to bomb the combat zone. Near Yokohama Base, Zengar sent the young pilots and their units out to find and destroy BETA.

  • The Revenants’ beam weapons pierced BETA armor and slowed the horde’s advance.
  • Char charged into the swarm with a Beam Saber and Beam Rifle, while the Crimson Comet Brigade and Jial Brigade joined the slaughter.
  • Char received word that Ingram, Amuro, Shin Matsunaga, and Johnny had eliminated the Beam Types, then ordered the Air Force to prepare a bombing and other Tactical Fighters to withdraw.
  • Ingram, Amuro, Shin Matsunaga, and Johnny returned and split up to reinforce the left and right defensive lines.
  • Near Yokohama Base, Zengar ordered Miyoshi Meiya, Sakaki Chizuru, Aya Hoshimine, Tamase Himihime, Kagari Takeru, and the other young pilots to board their units and seek out BETA.

Ch. 1872Only the Brave Charge Forward

Sanger led Shirakawa Shuu, Elsam, Eshe, and thirteen tactical squad rookies into BETA-occupied territory to complete Main Mission Two by killing thousands of BETA. After the group encountered an overwhelming swarm, Sanger ordered them into formation and began cutting a path toward a chosen battlefield.

  • Sanger, Shirakawa Shuu, Elsam, and Eshe led the tactical squad across the defensive line into BETA territory.
  • The squad traveled for half an hour before Eshe casually killed the first BETA they encountered.
  • Dozens, hundreds, and then thousands of BETA appeared, filling the squad's screens.
  • Sanger ordered the squad to form C Formation and advance southwest at low altitude, with Elsam in the center and Shirakawa Shuu covering the rear.
  • Sanger drew two reinforced Beam Sabers, cut through dozens of BETA, and led the formation toward the designated battlefield.

Ch. 1873Battle Was This Simple

Zengar led the tactical squad through an abandoned city for its first live BETA battle, where the rookies fought in coordinated mobile formations and destroyed more than eight thousand enemies without losses. As Eshe led their retreat, Beam Types attacked, and Shirakawa Shuu revealed that his unit carried modified nuclear reaction missiles.

  • Zengar ordered the tactical squad to enter the city and required each member to eliminate at least five hundred BETA while maintaining coordination.
  • Miyoshi Meiya led the thirteen rookies in a wedge formation as Zengar, Elsam, Shirakawa Shuu, and Eshe supported them and coached them through the fighting.
  • The squad kept moving through the city, overcame several dangerous moments, and destroyed more than eight thousand BETA without any units being damaged or anyone dying.
  • Zengar judged the squad exhausted and ordered Eshe to lead their retreat while he and Shirakawa Shuu covered the rear.
  • Beam Types attacked the withdrawing squad, and Elsam raced toward them as Giliam asked Shirakawa Shuu about his launcher.
  • Shirakawa Shuu said his unit carried modified nuclear reaction missiles and asked whether Giliam wanted to test their power.

Ch. 1874Question and Answer

Shirakawa Shuu destroyed a BETA-infested city with a Reaction Missile and completed his mission, while the new mecha revealed by the world’s major powers and the Far East sparked widespread confusion. At Yokohama Base, Zengar confirmed to Kagetsu Yuko that his companions had helped develop the new mecha and promised to explain more when the time was right.

  • Shirakawa Shuu launched a Reaction Missile that obliterated a BETA-infested city, completed his mission, and agreed to give Elsam a missile.
  • The new mecha from the United Nations Army, the Soviet Union, the United States, and the Far East drew worldwide attention and bewilderment.
  • Zengar and Elsam returned to Yokohama Base, where Miyoshi Meiya and the tactical squad saluted them after their live combat exercise.
  • Kagetsu Yuko confronted Zengar about the apparent nuclear explosion, and Elsam explained that the weapon was a Reaction Missile without nuclear radiation.
  • Zengar admitted that his companions had coordinated the development of the new mecha and beam weapons, then told Kagetsu Yuko that his goal was to eliminate the BETA.
  • Kagetsu Yuko said she believed Zengar and trusted that he would tell her the truth when the time was right.

Ch. 1875Three Big Shots Were About to Make Trouble: Recruit or Kill

Shirakawa Shuu, Char, Yuzes, Giliam, and Ingram agreed to move ahead with Mission Three and announce a major press conference at Yukon Base. After Giliam and Ingram left, Char, Yuzes, and Shirakawa Shuu secretly resolved to find the new participants and recruit or kill them.

  • Char asked whether they should begin the next stage before everyone had completed Mission Two, and Shirakawa Shuu urged them to proceed immediately.
  • Yuzes requested living BETA specimens and described the Enhanced Human project at Yukon Base, including a white-haired girl who might become an Innovator or Newtype.
  • The group decided to announce in ten hours that Yukon Base would host a major press conference one week later, inviting the world's faction leaders.
  • Ingram declined to interfere with his country's choices, while Char called Xiao Ran an opportunist.
  • After Giliam and Ingram left the communication link, Char, Yuzes, and Shirakawa Shuu agreed to investigate new participants and recruit or kill those who opposed them.

Ch. 1876A Familiar Routine

As the world’s leaders gathered at Yukon Base for a press conference on new mecha, Yuzes and Shirakawa Shuu waited for an attack by the Loyalty Organization and the Refugee Liberation Front. With the attackers contained, the representatives announced the creation of the Earth Federation Government, leaving its unification plan newly revealed to the world.

  • The Soviet Union, the Far East, and the United Nations Army prepared a joint press conference at Yukon Base as America cut off material aid to the Far East.
  • The Burning Legion completed Main Mission Two for nearly all its members, while Char helped Argus Squad finish the XFJ Project weapons test and recruited the white-haired duo into the Crimson Comet Brigade.
  • Yuzes and Shirakawa Shuu discussed the planned attack on Yukon Base and the human factions behind it as their communicators alerted them that the attackers had arrived.
  • The Loyalty Organization and the Refugee Liberation Front attacked Yukon Base, but Yuzes’s defenses and the base’s soldiers contained them.
  • Amid the gunfire and confusion, a representative announced that the Soviet Union, the Far East, and the United Nations Army would merge into the Earth Federation Government.

Ch. 1877Main Mission Three: Ten Nests

After the attack on Yukon Base ended in surrender, the Far East, the Soviet Union, and the United Nations Army announced the formation of the Earth Federation and a plan to accept refugees and withdraw overseas troops. With Main Mission Two complete, Zengar, Shirakawa Shuu, Yuzes, and the others received a new half-year mission to destroy ten BETA nests.

  • The Loyalty Organization and the Refugee Liberation Front ordered their forces at Yukon Base to surrender after the Earth Federation promised to accept refugees and civilians fleeing Federation territory.
  • The Earth Federation announced that it would withdraw United Nations Army forces from bases outside its territory and hand those bases over to local governments.
  • The press conference stunned world representatives as the Far East, the Soviet Union, and the United Nations Army united into a powerful new government.
  • Yuzes and the others chose not to interfere in United States affairs, while keeping their main objective focused on the Ultimate Mission Card.
  • After Main Mission Two ended, Zengar, Shirakawa Shuu, Yuzes, Giliam, Char, Elsam, and the others received a mission to destroy ten BETA nests within half a year.

Ch. 1878Take Another One

After the group destroyed a young BETA hive in the Far East, the assault exposed how poorly their current mecha suited hive battles. Char assigned the team to develop better mecha, train pilots, and strengthen the New Federation’s forces as they prepared to tackle the remaining hives.

  • Half a month after the mission began, Yuzes, Giliam, Char, Zenga, Elsam, Shin Matsunaga, Johnny, Ingram, and others joined the Far East Army to destroy the Far East hive in two days.
  • Char, Zenga, Yuzes, and the others returned with damaged mecha, while Eshe, Harvey, Barnes, and Lala had withdrawn before the group entered the hive’s depths.
  • After resting, Char and Shirakawa Shuu concluded that current mecha and weapons could not sustain the demanding battles required to destroy Eurasian hives.
  • Yuzes warned that the world’s industry could produce only B+ class mecha within six months, and Zenga requested a custom machine built around his combat style.
  • Char assigned Yuzes, Shirakawa Shuu, and Giliam to mecha development; Ramba to the Far East Front; Tetsuya, Johnny, and Shin Matsunaga to army integration; and Zenga, Elsam, Eshe, Harvey, and Barnes to pilot training, while Char oversaw the New Federation.

Ch. 1879Luo Was the Sun Lighting the Way Ahead

After the Earth Federation’s first hive victory, Char consolidated its forces while Ingram rose to prominence in America. Yuzes, Shirakawa Shuu, and Giliam spent three months developing new mecha and weapons, leaving the team exhausted and with only a fraction of its mission complete.

  • The destruction of a BETA hive by a small team boosted the Earth Federation’s reputation, while America expanded X Unit and Ingram gained influence among its leaders.
  • Char directed the Earth Federation’s integration, and Tetsuya reorganized its military as Yukon Base trained new pilots and researchers joined the mecha projects.
  • Yuzes, Shirakawa Shuu, and Giliam improved the XFJ Project for mass production, researched beam weapons, and devised a sword suited to Zengar.
  • The three technicians spent nearly three months completing their work, but the mission was only one-tenth complete and two and a half months remained.
  • Yuzes, Shirakawa Shuu, and Giliam recognized how demanding Luo’s workload was, while others marveled that the team had made personal-use mecha beyond fourth-generation machines in three months.

Ch. 1880Sweeping Through

Yuzes, Shirakawa Shuu, and Giliam completed standardized B-class Astray mecha, which the Earth Federation used to destroy a Eurasian BETA nest in sixteen hours. The victory prompted more factions to join the Federation, while Ingram’s X Unit completed another nest operation, finishing Main Mission Three but leaving the group unable to return to Prometheus yet.

  • Yuzes, Shirakawa Shuu, and Giliam developed standardized B-class Astray mecha with nuclear furnaces, flight capability, and weapons tailored to each pilot.
  • Zengar, Elsam, Char, and the other pilots led several hundred mecha toward the Eurasian Front and destroyed a BETA nest in sixteen hours, using a Gauss Electromagnetic Rifle and Reaction Missiles to devastating effect.
  • The Earth Federation forces eliminated more than six hundred thousand BETA with only minor mecha losses, drawing attention and hope from people around the world.
  • More factions announced that they would join the Earth Federation after seeing its forces defeat the nest.
  • Ingram led the X Unit in excavating another Eurasian BETA nest, completing Main Mission Three, but the group could not return to Prometheus because of the time constraint.

Ch. 1881Shift in Attitude

The Earth Federation’s growing forces drove the BETA back and completed the mission to destroy ten nests, while the major figures uncovered evidence of far stronger BETA beyond Earth. Yuzes initially opposed further involvement, but his discovery of valuable G Elements led him to support attacking Earth’s Primordial Nest and proposing that the world become a Faction Territory.

  • The Earth Federation expanded its forces, and Far Eastern pilots led campaigns to reclaim BETA-occupied regions.
  • Kagetsu Yuko mysteriously took away a confused young man after he watched combat specials featuring Miyoshi Meiya and Kagari Takeru.
  • Sanger, Elsam, Giliam, Yuzes, and the others completed the mission to eliminate ten nests after nearly two months, with more than six hundred pilots killed.
  • Yuzes, Shirakawa Shuu, Sanger, Char, and the others learned that Earth’s Primordial Nest was only Level 6 and that Mars had a Level 9 Nest.
  • Sanger, Ingram, and Amuro urged the others to destroy the Primordial Nest, but Yuzes initially refused because he saw no benefit in continuing the fight.
  • Yuzes and Giliam discovered valuable, unfamiliar G Elements, prompting Yuzes to support attacking the Primordial Nest and recommending that the world become a Faction Territory.

Ch. 1882Those Who Came from Another World

Zenga investigated Shiragin Takeshi at Shirakawa Shuu’s request and confronted Kagetsu Yuko about him. Yuko revealed that Takeshi had crossed over from another world and suggested Zenga and the other Participants had done the same.

  • Shirakawa Shuu gave Zenga a file on Kagetsu Yuko and the apparently fabricated identity of Shiragin Takeshi, asking him to uncover the truth and eliminate Takeshi if necessary.
  • Zenga told Shirakawa Shuu that he saw Kagetsu Yuko as a capable talent, then flew to the Far East to meet her.
  • Zenga asked Kagetsu Yuko for Shiragin Takeshi’s true identity, and she admitted that he had come from another world.
  • Kagetsu Yuko pointed out that Zenga and the other Participants had also appeared in her world from elsewhere.

Ch. 1883Return

Sanger learned that Shiragin Takeshi came from another world and reported the details to Shirakawa Shuu, who ordered Kagetsu Yuko's quantum research collected and had Takeshi eliminated. After returning to Prometheus, the group received their mission rewards and gathered with Xiao Ran, who assigned them to review essays while Luo took Shirakawa Shuu and Yuzes to begin training.

  • Kagetsu Yuko explained to Sanger why she had investigated him and Shirakawa Shuu, and Sanger relayed her account to Shirakawa Shuu.
  • Shirakawa Shuu ordered Sanger to bring Kagetsu Yuko and her quantum research materials to Yukon Base, while Eshe, Harvey, and Barnes eliminated Shiragin Takeshi.
  • The group completed its mission and returned to Prometheus, where Shirakawa Shuu alone received the Ultimate Mission Card.
  • After gathering at the Legion Headquarters, the group was assigned to review essays, while Luo took Shirakawa Shuu and Yuzes to Old Luo's training classes and Giliam was to study at the factory.

Ch. 1884Introduction

Xiao Ran welcomed the Overlord Legion into the Burning Legion and outlined plans for the members to work together as equals. He then arranged further missions during the rest period and added a MUV-LUV Mission Card to their itinerary.

  • Xiao Ran told the gathered members that the Overlord Legion and Burning Legion would be treated equally within the legion, while their merger would remain secret from outsiders.
  • Xiao Ran emphasized intelligence gathering and safety after El-Elf explained that a squad had lost three members when another squad ambushed them during a Side Mission.
  • Xiao Ran asked members to submit rank-advancement applications and new-unit requirements, and encouraged veteran members to help the Overlord Legion learn about the Faction Territory.
  • Xiao Ran introduced the core members to Naza and Fardes, who were stunned by the Burning Legion's lineup of A-Class Pilots.
  • Xiao Ran proposed using several expiring Mission Cards for Legion Missions before the next official mission, and Shirakawa Shuu offered a card for MUV-LUV.
  • Xiao Ran accepted the MUV-LUV Mission Card and added its world to the legion's itinerary.

Ch. 1885New Team Formation

Xiao Ran arranged technical training and discussed forming three teams for future missions during the rest period. The teams were settled, and he warned everyone that their actions and choices could affect their future faction assignments.

  • Xiao Ran assigned Ingram, Giliam, and Luo to organize a week of Prometheus technology training, and Amuro asked to join.
  • Shirakawa Shuu proposed splitting the group into three teams, and Xiao Ran agreed that the arrangement could work.
  • Xiao Ran warned the group that their mission conduct and choices could lead to forced assignment to the evil faction, and Char said he and Shirakawa Shuu would be more careful.
  • Char became captain of a team with Shirakawa Shuu, Lalah, Ramba, and Haman.
  • Zengar became captain of a team with Giliam, Elsam, and Tetsuya, while Ingram led a team with Amuro, Ing, Johnny, and Shin Matsunaga.
  • Yuzes was assigned to join Jeffrey's team.

Ch. 1886Things Can Be Handled

Xiao Ran outlined the Burning Legion’s training and research plans during their upcoming Retention Time, including new Super AI technology and several recovered assets. The chapter ended with Giliam pointing out the enormous workload facing the Technicians, while Xiao Ran remained confident they could handle it.

  • Xiao Ran assigned most members to train the legion’s pilots while several others attended training, and said they would purchase Retention Time and could spend their Merit Points on support.
  • Xiao Ran listed the mission gains, including Moonlight Cannon technology, bloodlines, an alloy formula, and a special component, then had Renard explain the breakthrough in Super AI.
  • Renard said Super AI could learn, reason, and control mecha independently, solving a major obstacle to building personal warships.
  • Renard and Luo described additional mecha technologies, and Luo revealed that he had recovered the mission’s final boss, causing Prometheus’s system to lag.
  • Xiao Ran displayed a damaged Bask-level battleship, the self-governing Super AI Nifaline, and the unfinished mecha Arcadia.
  • Giliam itemized the many research and construction tasks ahead, and Xiao Ran assured him that the Technicians would have enough time and personnel to manage them.

Ch. 1887No Wonder

Xiao Ran briefed Naza and Fardes on Prometheus’s missions and the Burning Legion’s inner workings, while the legion’s new members settled in and completed their training. After a week, the members entered their Faction Territories, where many of the Technicians began intensive work.

  • Xiao Ran ended the meeting and took Naza and Fardes to Fleet World to explain core missions, Mission Cards, world cores, and the previous mission’s results.
  • Luo advised the new members to form a team and merge their Living Zones, then led them on a tour of Prometheus.
  • Fardes and Naza discussed Xiao Ran’s knowledge and agreed to keep his explanations within their legion while merging the Legion Warehouse.
  • Over the following week, the Burning Legion accepted simplified battle reports, and its members completed combat training.
  • The members entered their respective Faction Territories, where the Technicians threw themselves into work.

Ch. 1888Integration

After three months, the Overlord Legion had fully integrated into the Burning Legion, whose members used the spoils from the Impact Legion to fund their stay and equip their new recruits. Renard’s successful Super AI replication revealed emotional risks that halted mass deployment, though Haros and other small devices began receiving upgrades.

  • Most ordinary members of the Burning Legion left the Faction Territory, while Xiao Ran's squad, the bigwigs' squads, Jeffrey Squad, Naza, and Overlord Legion A-Class Pilots stayed.
  • The Burning Legion exchanged Impact Legion spoils for Merit Points and other items, and Naza shared half of the Merit Points with the Overlord Legion's people before depositing the rest into the legion account.
  • Over three months, the Overlord Legion's members accepted their new identities after receiving suitable machines and integrating into the Burning Legion.
  • Renard replicated the Super AI, but testing showed that emotional AIs could create severe consequences if many were destroyed in battle, so the legion shelved plans for large-scale drone deployment.
  • Renard began upgrading Haros and other devices with Super AIs, including several miniature AS guards.

Ch. 1889New Small MACROSS-class

Shirakawa Shuu and the faction’s researchers designed and built a new Small MACROSS-class battleship, replacing the cramped X-shaped layout with a more spacious, heavily armed II-shaped design. After half a year of construction and revisions, the completed ship incorporated Light Barrier and Solar Furnace technology and awaited its first battle.

  • Renard completed the Super AI project while Yuzes continued restoring the Yinglong King, Sparrow King Machine, and Warrior King Machine with Durandal.
  • Luo finished manufacturing mechs for the Overlord Legion and organized the materials acquired from Mecha Wars V with Giliam’s help.
  • Shirakawa Shuu and Ingram designed a new Small MACROSS-class Battleship with a spacious II-shaped layout, concealed bridge, and firepower comparable to a large MACROSS-class vessel.
  • After Xiao Ran approved the design, Shirakawa Shuu, Ingram, Renard, Luo, Giliam, and Yuzes refined it, then began construction with technicians transferred from other departments.
  • The team completed the battleship after half a year, incorporating the SEED World’s Light Barrier and Solar Furnace; the ship awaited its first battle.

Ch. 1890Around the Battleship

After the new Small Macross-class battleship passed its tests, it was assigned to Tetsuya, and the exhausted technical team took a short break. They then began designing an A-class Super AI Combat Squad, with Yuzes suggesting they simply create Super Robots.

  • Luo, Renard, and the other Technicians completed the battleship, whose Super AI could operate it independently and control its systems.
  • Tetsuya tested the battleship alone, transforming it and using its Ideon Sword and Black Hole Cannon to destroy a large asteroid.
  • Xiao Ran let the technical team rest after three months of work, while the Overlord Legion watched the battleship's construction and test with astonishment.
  • After another half month, Luo, Renard, Shirakawa Shuu, Giliam, Yuzes, and Ingram returned to work on a Super AI Combat Squad.
  • The Technicians discussed making the squad A-class, combinable, self-repairing, and capable of evolving, until Yuzes proposed creating Super Robots instead.

Ch. 1891Monster Series

Luo and the other researchers rejected Yuzes's proposal to build Super Robots without the necessary technical data, then designed a five-unit Super AI Combat Squad using the Legion's existing technology. Xiao Ran approved their direction, while Basak grew frustrated that Luo had yet to begin his Mazinger Kaiser and retreated into decadence.

  • Luo and the other researchers concluded that building Super Robots was beyond their current capabilities and began designing a practical Super AI Combat Squad instead.
  • With Xiao Ran's input, the team selected five transforming units: an eagle-type stealth fighter, a wolf-type beast, a vehicle, a lion-type melee robot, and a warship-form support robot.
  • The researchers chose liquid metal for the units and Super Alloy Z for their frameworks as they prepared to work out their combat systems, combination ability, coordination, and internal structures.
  • Xiao Ran trusted the team to produce satisfying Super AI units and did not interfere with their designs.
  • Basak lamented that Luo had postponed his Mazinger Kaiser again, then decided to wait in seclusion with wine and women rather than confront the dangerous researchers.

Ch. 1892Berserk Robots

The Berserk Beast Plan completed its five Super AI Robots and began small-scale production, while Luo finalized Mazinger Kaiser for Basak. The chapter left the Legion’s machines equipped for their pilots, with Cruze receiving Moonlight Cannon drones.

  • The research team designed and tested five transforming Super AI Robots, which combined into a single machine and used Super Alloy Z and liquid metal.
  • The Berserk Beast Plan began small-scale production, starting with three Berserk Beast Squads, after six months of development.
  • Luo refined Mazinger Kaiser’s design over three days and delivered the official blueprints to the production department for Basak.
  • Shirakawa Shuu and Kane helped equip Mazinger Kaiser with magic and alchemy, and the completed machine received an A+ rating.
  • Luo built himself an Astray-like machine, while other pilots received Moonlight Cannons according to their wishes.
  • Luo made Cruze four Moonlight Cannon drones to supplement his high-output attacks.

Ch. 1893MUV Ultimate Mission

Xiao Ran equipped his squads with new MACROSS Battleships, Berserk Beast Squads, and completed units before choosing MUV World for the Legion’s first mission. The Legion entered MUV World under a three-year mission to eliminate the extraterrestrial nests and protect Earth, arriving at Yukon Base one year after Char and the others had left.

  • Three new MACROSS Battleships were assigned to Char Squad, Ingram’s squad, and Naza, while Xiao Ran, Char Squad, and Sanger Squad each received a Berserk Beast Squad.
  • Basak’s and Luo’s new units were completed as Xiao Ran reviewed the available Mission Cards and chose MUV World for its combat-testing opportunities.
  • Yuzes prepared research equipment, and Xiao Ran’s Legion members gathered at Prometheus as their Retention Time ended.
  • Xiao Ran converted the MUV Mission Card into a Legion Mission requiring the Legion to eliminate every extraterrestrial nest in the Solar System within three years and protect Earth.
  • Xiao Ran confirmed the mission, and the Legion arrived in MUV World at Yukon Base, one year after Char, Yuzes, and the others had left.

Ch. 1894A Year's Changes

After a year away, Shirakawa Shuu, Yuzes, Char, and the Burning Legion returned to find the Federation weakened by infighting and the war against the BETA at a stalemate. Xiao Ran assessed their remaining influence and recognized that completing the mission would require more than the Legion’s own members.

  • Prometheus assigned the newly arrived Burning Legion members identities at Yukon Base, while Ingram and Amuro were deployed to America.
  • Shirakawa Shuu and the others learned that the Federation had fractured during their year away, though Yukon Base remained under their influence.
  • Xiao Ran reviewed the situation and asked Char how much power they still controlled; Char said they held Yukon Base and only two or three other places.
  • Xiao Ran concluded that the mission would be complicated and that the Legion would need outside support, though its warships, including the Burning Legion and the Overlord, gave it an advantage.

Ch. 1895Arrangement

Xiao Ran assigned the Legion’s members to regain control of the Federation, support Ingram’s legitimate rise, investigate BETA nests, and establish mecha production. The teams departed for their posts while Yuzes stayed at Yukon Base, balancing Federation work with secret BETA research.

  • Xiao Ran told Char that the Legion needed to covertly regain control of the Federation while keeping the country’s appearance of chaos so Ingram could escape his institutional constraints.
  • Xiao Ran assigned Cruze and El-Elf to help Ingram through the election process, sent Char and Giliam to the Soviet Union, Shirakawa Shuu and Zenga to the Far East, and Yuzes to gather loyalists at Yukon Base.
  • Xiao Ran ordered Fardes and the other A-Class Pilots to assess the BETA front lines, sent Naza, Basak, Graham, Nalo, and Zechs to investigate the Moon and Mars, and tasked Luo and Renard with establishing a mecha production system in the Far East.
  • Char, Zenga, Giliam, Cruze, and the others left Yukon Base, followed the next day by the A-Class Pilot teams and the group bound for the Moon and Mars.
  • Yuzes remained at Yukon Base to identify useful Federation personnel and secretly collected dead BETA for his G Element research.
