Xiao Ran gathered his companions and returned to the SEED World, where he led Orb’s defense against the Earth Force while arranging the evacuation into space. Orb’s forces escaped as the main island was destroyed, and Xiao Ran vowed to fulfill Representative Asaha’s promise.

• Xiao Ran equipped and trained his companions, then used the Ultimate Mission Card to bring them to the SEED World and accepted the mission to destroy Genesis and the Earth Alliance’s nuclear fleet.
• After contacting Orb, Xiao Ran reunited with Mwu and learned Earth Force had threatened to attack unless Orb surrendered him, while Representative Asaha revealed Orb could not endure a prolonged war.
• Xiao Ran took command of Orb’s defenses, deployed his elite pilots, and led a surprise strike that devastated the first Earth Force fleet before the defenders repelled its MS assault.
• As Orb prepared to evacuate civilians and equipment, Xiao Ran arranged for Athrun, Dearka, and Nicol to join Orb’s fight and asked Shinn Asuka to go to ZAFT and protect Orb in the future.
• Xiao Ran and his allies fought off the Earth Force’s renewed attack, using Black Hawk’s drones and Naluo’s GN weapons to cripple enemy units while Orb’s ships departed for space.
• Xiao Ran concealed two freighters as Kusanagi, another warship, and Archangel launched, then watched the Earth Force fleet’s approach coincide with the destruction of Orb’s main island.
• Athrun, Graham, Mwu, Cagalli, and others mourned Orb’s destruction, while Shinn struggled to control his helicopter in the shockwave and Xiao Ran promised Representative Asaha he would keep his promise.

Xiao Ran rallied Orb’s forces against Earth Force’s nuclear threat, uncovered the Librarian’s involvement, and helped the allied fleet survive repeated attacks. When Earth Force trapped the fleet in the Debris Belt, he sacrificed the Dawn and Archangel as decoys and stayed behind to fight off the pursuing Daggers.

• Xiao Ran reunited with Kira and Athrun, then organized Orb’s recovery and recruited Luo and Murrue Ramius to help prevent the war from escalating.
• Kira and Athrun returned with Lacus and the Eternal, and Xiao Ran prepared to counter nuclear missiles and Genesis while planning to restore Orb.
• Earth Force attacked the fleet, but Xiao Ran and his allies defeated its forces, including nuclear-powered Misty Rage Gundams, while Mu went missing and Kira was left shaken after Flay was captured.
• Xiao Ran explained the Librarians’ Photocopy Person Technology and warned that Kira and the others could be targeted, then comforted Kira and promised to rescue Flay.
• Earth Force trapped the allied fleet near L4, but Sheryl’s singing strengthened the pilots as they fought back and destroyed multiple enemy Gundams and warships.
• Xiao Ran gave Lacus advanced technology to strengthen Orb’s defenses, then discovered Earth Force was sealing the fleet inside the Debris Belt and ordered an immediate retreat.
• Xiao Ran stayed behind, sent the fleet away, and used the Dawn and Archangel as decoys before escaping the Archangel’s explosion in Black Hawk.
• Xiao Ran engaged the pursuing Daggers with Black Hawk and destroyed several of them.

Xiao Ran helped end the war by destroying Genesis, then restored Orb and returned to Prometheus with a larger group of followers. There, he arranged new mechas, repairs, and training while considering how to build up his team and resources.

• Xiao Ran and his allies destroyed Earth Force nuclear missiles, but Genesis then devastated the Earth Force fleet and Moon Base.
• Xiao Ran fought Cruze near Genesis, rescued him from Destiny Gundam, and learned how to trigger the fortress’s self-destruction.
• Xiao Ran recovered Genesis with Scrap Dealer before it exploded, and the surviving leaders declared a ceasefire.
• Xiao Ran helped rebuild Orb, settled Cagalli’s engagement dispute, and returned political and military authority to her while retaining supreme command.
• Xiao Ran returned to Prometheus with Mwu, Cruze, and Luo, then learned about their abilities and arranged treatment and training options.
• Xiao Ran and Luo planned upgraded Destiny Gundam and Justice Gundam units, while Luo explained that a compatible Gene Serum could treat Cruze’s genetic condition.
• Xiao Ran reviewed the team’s rewards and resources, kept the Second Archangel, and considered using a MACROSS-class Battleship with his missile production line and VF-27 blueprints.

Xiao Ran returned to the 25th Fleet, exposed Earth’s attempt to take control, and seized its MACROSS-class flagship and warships. As he accepted leadership of the fleet, a Primal Demon arrived, and Xiao Ran began seeking its help and the support of the departed insects.

• Old Luo trained Luo and helped him repair and build mecha while Xiao Ran upgraded his hangar, enhanced his team, and recruited Basak.
• Xiao Ran took the Second Archangel to the 25th Fleet, where President Glass explained Earth’s demands for Sheryl, Lanka, the V-bacteria carriers, and control of the fleet.
• Xiao Ran rejoined the fleet, thwarted an assassination attempt during negotiations with General George, and took the general hostage.
• Xiao Ran used the Mirage System to conceal Basak’s Huckebein aboard a shuttle, then forced the MACROSS-class flagship and the rest of Earth’s fleet to surrender.
• President Glass resigned and named Xiao Ran his successor, while Sheryl revealed she had bought two Macross-class warships for him.
• A giant bird delivered tapes showing Basara and the Seventh Fleet, and Xiao Ran identified the bird as a Primal Demon and organized efforts to contact it and the departed insects.
• Xiao Ran accepted responsibility for the fleet, arranged a concert featuring Sheryl, Lanka, and V-virus survivors, and met the bird after it transformed into a birdman.
