The Transport Aircraft entered directly through a secret passage of Anaheim Company arranged specially for it, so only a very small number of people knew that Xiao Ran had returned to Anaheim. Xiao Ran did not particularly mind news of his return getting out, but neither did he want to expose their machines while the situation remained unclear.
Cardias personally came to the secret passage to receive Xiao Ran. After leaving Brera and Luca behind to guard the machines, Cruze and Glan Glan accompanied Xiao Ran as they followed Cardias away, quietly returning to Cardias's residence above the secret passage.
When Cardias saw Xiao Ran's return, he appeared both extremely happy and greatly relieved. In the less than half a year Xiao Ran had been gone, he had endured far too much pressure. The pressure from every direction had nearly left him unable to breathe. Even within Anaheim Company, the seemingly enormous military-industrial enterprise, many conflicts and problems had emerged. Many of those problems had been left behind by him and Xiao Ran together, and they had grown serious enough that he could no longer bear them alone.
After arranging the external security, Cardias returned to the secret room where Xiao Ran and the other two were staying.
