| First Appearance | Chapter 1 |
Background / History
The dynasty was founded by its Sacred Ancestor, Xia Wuji, who used the Mysterious Black Bird Cauldron to subdue rival aristocratic clans, destroy opposing states, and unify the realm under Great Xia rule. The cauldron became both the dynasty's stabilizing artifact and the ultimate basis of imperial authority. 279
After founding Great Xia, Xia Wuji disappeared roughly a century later, leaving behind a seal that enclosed and protected the dynasty's world. His younger brother, Xia Wushi, remained among the imperial family's hidden ancestors and preserved records of Xia Wuji's Earthly Venerable Realm. 287
The Tianqi Emperor, Xia Ritian, was believed to have died more than a decade before Xia Mingyue inherited the throne. In reality, he had faked his death and cultivated in seclusion. 128 308
Xia Mingyue, the Tianqi Emperor's eleventh daughter, gained the recognition of the Mysterious Black Bird Cauldron and reached the Divine Mansion Realm before taking the throne. The cauldron's recognition allowed her to suppress her ten brothers and secured the imperial family's acceptance of her succession. 166 279
When the Spirit Ruins Land emerged, five of the Eight Great Families and the five transcendent forces rebelled against the imperial family, with some defectors cooperating with the Demon Race. 304 The eventual destruction of the Heaven and Earth Seal exposed Great Xia to the outside world; foreign cultivators and factions entered, occupied territory, and forced the imperial family and its allied families to tolerate their presence. 318 322

| Surveillance Division | State surveillance body involved in investigations such as the assassination of An Prefecture Surveillance Envoy Luo Jin. 185 |
Imperial Family and Succession
The Great Xia Imperial Family recognizes the Mysterious Black Bird Cauldron, rather than any individual bloodline claimant, as the final authority on succession. A royal family member who resonates with the cauldron is regarded as the legitimate candidate for the throne. 279
Xia Mingyue's unprecedented recognition by the cauldron made her the unquestioned ruler despite being the eleventh imperial princess. The artifact continuously nourished her cultivation with Heaven and Earth Origin, enabling her rapid rise to the Divine Mansion Realm. 166
The imperial family retains hidden foundations beyond the public court. Three Imperial Ancestors reside beneath the palace; Xia Wushi, Xia Wuji's younger brother, is a Greater Mastery Void Realm cultivator. 287

Major Events
Xia Mingyue's Ascension
Following the presumed death of the Tianqi Emperor, Xia Mingyue inherited the throne. Her mastery of the Mysterious Black Bird Cauldron and Divine Mansion Realm cultivation prevented meaningful opposition from her brothers or the imperial ancestors. 128 166
Spirit Ruins Land Crisis
The dynasty held a Martial Arts Grand Competition to select entrants for the Spirit Ruins Land. Lu Xuan was appointed chief examiner with authority equivalent to the Empress's personal presence. 288
The Spirit Ruins Land's appearance coincided with widespread rebellion: five great families, five transcendent forces, and Demon Race collaborators attacked the Great Xia Imperial Palace and destabilized the realm. 304
Sacrifice of the Ten Princes
Xia Ritian summoned his ten enfeoffed sons to the Heavenly Capital and used the Mysterious Black Bird Heavenly Seal to bind them. He extracted their essence blood and spiritual power to temporarily elevate himself to the Earthly Venerable Realm. 203 309

The Heaven and Earth Seal ultimately shattered despite the Mysterious Black Bird Cauldron's awakening. Xia Wuji's phantom repelled the Demon Saints, but the broken seal exposed Great Xia to the wider world. 318
Foreign rogue cultivators and powerful forces subsequently entered Great Xia, seized land, and divided its territory. The imperial family initially attempted suppression alongside the Li, Mo, and Shangguan families, but later ceased direct intervention as more powerful outsiders continued to arrive. 322
