Background / History

The dynasty was founded by its Sacred Ancestor, Xia Wuji, who used the Mysterious Black Bird Cauldron to subdue rival aristocratic clans, destroy opposing states, and unify the realm under Great Xia rule. The cauldron became both the dynasty's stabilizing artifact and the ultimate basis of imperial authority. 279

After founding Great Xia, Xia Wuji disappeared roughly a century later, leaving behind a seal that enclosed and protected the dynasty's world. His younger brother, Xia Wushi, remained among the imperial family's hidden ancestors and preserved records of Xia Wuji's Earthly Venerable Realm. 287

The Tianqi Emperor, Xia Ritian, was believed to have died more than a decade before Xia Mingyue inherited the throne. In reality, he had faked his death and cultivated in seclusion. 128 308
