Background

The Lu Family began as the household behind the largest pharmacy in the County Town. Its medicines and precious tonics supported Lu Xuan's early martial cultivation, which consumed roughly one quarter of the family's resources even with his restraint. 4

Lu Jiahe's medical practice became central to the family's public standing. During Azure Cloud County's recovery from a Catastrophe-Level Eerie Entity, the Lu Family Pharmacy provided free treatment; the County Office, local merchants, and White Path Prefecture supplied resources for the effort. Lu Jiahe's reputation spread beyond Azure Cloud County, and the family became sought after by wealthy merchants and officials seeking marriage alliances. 214

The family's status changed sharply as Lu Xuan revealed his strength. He deliberately displayed evidence of his power to stabilize the household after unrest involving Lu Yun'an, while the guards and steward Li Mingzhong came to regard him with increasing deference. 5 22

Rise in Azure Cloud County

After threats against the household, Lu Xuan began openly protecting the family. He eliminated bandits who infiltrated the Lu Family courtyard and later pursued those behind the assassination attempt on Lu Jiahe. 38 50

The household suffered repeated external pressure from bandits, eerie entities, and corrupt local forces. During a Calamity-Level Eerie Entity's assault, Qian Hao, Li Daren, and Ye Qingshan defended Lu Jiahe and other family members until Lu Xuan's return. 147

Lu Xuan's growing authority also allowed family members to benefit from his name and protection. He intentionally made Liang Cheng and Lu Yunqing's connection to him known so they could cultivate without fear of harassment. 194

Imperial Honors and Seclusion

Following Lu Xuan's rise, the family's influence became recognized by the Great Xia court. An Imperial Decree granted all direct descendants credentials for Great Xia Academy and direct access to court service; collateral relatives received titles and noble honors, while marital relatives within three generations received ranks of fifth grade or above. In the Great Qian era, the Lu Family became a military power. Lu Jinyun mobilized the Tiger's Roar Guard to rescue Lu Hao Wu from Heaven Prison, while Lu Jinhua, Lu Jinwu, and Lu Jinchang commanded major armed forces. 333 334

The Qian Xi Emperor regarded the family's influence as a threat, acknowledging that the Lu Family could command the troops of the realm. He sought to suppress its bloodline and prevent the emergence of further Grandmasters. 334

Under Lu Xuan's authority, the family ultimately led a million troops across the Four Seas. Over ten years, Lu Jinyun and his brothers conquered the Four Great Dynasties and established the Profound Bright Dynasty, named in part for Lu Xuan. 343

Fifth Incarnation

During Lu Xuan's Fifth Incarnation, the family was established in Yingnan City as an influential modern clan. Its descendants controlled major businesses, a martial arts school, political connections, private security, and criminal-world influence. 391 395 418
