Zhang Chen slid Yu Ming's handwritten letter across the square table before him and delivered it into Elder Wu's hands.
The latter opened the letter and examined its contents with great caution, wary of any tricks Yu Ming might have placed on it. After confirming there were no issues, Elder Wu began reading the letter before him.
As Elder Wu read, his expression gradually turned grave.
"I never expected it. I truly never expected there would actually be something that could make me want to change my mind. Give me some time to consider this matter. Whether my answer is yes or no, I will personally visit the ruins of the Prehistoric Dynasty."
"I hope Elder Wu can decide as soon as possible. I'm also in a hurry to head to Ling!" Zhang Chen said in a pleading tone.
"Mm, I'll consider it as quickly as possible. But regarding Elizabeth... you previously said she was recuperating somewhere secluded. That secluded place should be within the Prehistoric Dynasty, correct?"
"Yes." Zhang Chen had no intention of hiding it.
"She hasn't joined Yu Ming's ranks, has she?"
"No, she hasn't. It's just that Lan Miao's current condition is somewhat special, so Elizabeth is simply staying by my side for now. Her identity is still primarily that of an underworld envoy. Naturally, I won't let her follow me into the Five Evil Realm. It would be even more dangerous by my side. I'll personally ask her to follow Elder Wu and the others to establish a city in the Underworld."
Elder Wu was fairly satisfied with Zhang Chen's answer, and their conversation had more or less come to an end.
"If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving first."
Just as Zhang Chen reached the passage exit, Elder Wu's question came from behind him.
