Background

Yu Ming originated as a fully realized evil-thought manifestation separated from Azathoth after the prehistoric war. Azathoth removed nearly half of his own evil consciousness to curb his impulse to slaughter humanity, creating an evil thought powerful enough to overwhelm and destroy its previous human hosts. 1309

Unlike those hosts, the human Yu Ming completely accepted the invading consciousness. His soul and the evil thought integrated over his lifetime, fundamentally changing his body; after reaching the end of a normal lifespan, he became a Jailer and received a Soul Stone fashioned from Abhoth. 1309

His integrated human soul and Main Soul later shared control approximately equally. This unstable balance affected his thoughts and actions, while the Main Soul's influence physically surfaced through grotesque transformations and a second life form manifesting from his left arm. 1117 1121
