Manhattan Island, its bridges sealed off!

Chang Wei had only been here in the game before. He remembered those incredibly annoying autocannons blocking the entrances and exits.

But after becoming reality, there was more than just one autocannon here—there were several. The first Predator Sub-bodies had all died while trying to cross the sea.

That was why Chang Wei had no choice but to come personally. In theory, since they had never obtained a sample of his virus, the Blacklight Virus detector developed by Dr. Raymond McMullen should have been unable to detect his creations, especially since those Predator Sub-bodies had been hidden inside normal human bodies or elsewhere.

Now Chang Wei knew why. Anything attempting to cross the bridge, whether infected or normal human, would be shot dead. The Marine Corps soldiers and Black Watch soldiers stationed here all carried grenade launchers and Rocket Launchers. Even their weakest weapons were light machine guns, fully capable of blasting anything into scraps, not to mention the Helicopters and tanks.

The temporarily deployed Aircraft Carrier and its escort warships had sealed off the sea. Even trying to swim out was impossible.

"Really, this is troublesome."

Chang Wei pondered for a moment, then had an idea. After selecting a building, he used the Blacklight Virus to create a base inside it—or rather, a "Nest."

A massive amount of Blacklight Virus was injected by Chang Wei into this newly formed Nest, giving it extremely strong activity from the start. The Four-armed Hunters it was birthing also matured rapidly.

One Four-armed Hunter after another tore out of the Nest's "Brood Mother," letting out low growls at Chang Wei. This was how they expressed their submission.

"Use this Nest as your base. Turn every living thing around you into nutrients."

Chang Wei gave them the order. Building a base camp right beneath the enemy's noses—if it weren't for the Blacklight Virus, Chang Wei would not have dared to play things this way.

The Four-armed Hunters immediately indicated their understanding, then roared as they charged out of the Nest.

Chang Wei did not leave. He was designing a terrifying new unit—a new kind of Hunter.

An invisible Degenerate Hunter!

Mimicry: Cold-blooded Animal, Mimicry: Chameleon, Mimicry: Distorted Light...

Using the Blacklight Virus as a carrier, Chang Wei injected this genetic information into the Nest.

Degenerate Hunters were already troublesome because of their speed. With invisibility added to the mix, they would truly become the finest assassins.

Chang Wei called this type of Hunter "Anubis."

It meant the incarnation of the god of death.

The Nest accepted Chang Wei's genetic information. Once the Four-armed Hunters brought back enough nutrients, it would be able to birth Anubis.

The command Chang Wei gave this Nest was to kill everything that could move, apart from their own people.

Unlike Chang Wei, who was constantly on the move, Alex Mercer could only temporarily give up after failing to find any trace of him.

In addition, Captain Robert from the Original Plot had already been killed when the Four-armed Hunters led the Degenerate Hunters in surrounding and exterminating the Super Soldiers. So now, Alex Mercer's remaining goals seemed to be limited to stopping the virus and the infected.

After all, no one was left to tell him that Black Watch intended to use a nuclear bomb to cleanse Manhattan Island.

Even if he wanted to search for Elizabeth Greene, Elizabeth was already inside Chang Wei's stomach, so he could not possibly find her.

Alex Mercer did not choose to help Black Watch fight the infected. He simply cleared them out by himself. His strength could now be called formidable. Unless it was a colossal creature like Hydra, which could still give him trouble, the remaining infected were nothing more than energy reserves for him to absorb.

Then he was discovered by Four-armed Hunters that had been searching for his location.

"What is this thing?"

Alex Mercer was fighting Hydra. He had only just managed to defeat it when a Hunter moving at incredible speed suddenly clawed at him. Fortunately, his body was far tougher than before, and with Armor Form Opened, he was not injured.

But immediately afterward, he saw a group of those freakish things appear. They looked like smaller Hunters, but they were faster.

Then the Four-armed Hunter appeared as well. The moment Alex Mercer saw it, he somehow thought of Chang Wei.

This Hunter's arms looked exactly like Chang Wei's!

Could it be related to Chang Wei?

The moment that possibility occurred to him, Alex Mercer fixed his gaze on the Four-armed Hunter.

The Four-armed Hunter dashed towards Alex Mercer. Alex Mercer did not dodge. Under Armor Form, his hands transformed into Mace Form, while the muscles all over his body swelled.

With the boosts from these three forms, Alex Mercer could effortlessly crush Hunters and wield strength as terrifying as Chang Wei's.
