Crushing

The space Chang Wei created was called "Black Coffin." It did not merely trap people; it could also compress them.

Relying on the Blacklight Virus's astonishing capabilities, Black Coffin could compress anything trapped inside like a hydraulic press.

His [Black Coffin] used liquid to transmit pressure.

When liquid transmitted pressure within a sealed container, it followed Pascal's Law.

He had tested it before. A Black Coffin of less than a hundred cubic meters had crushed a main battle tank into powder.

However, it consumed a great deal of his Blacklight Virus, so it was a powerful move Chang Wei had created himself, like Myriad Tendrils, and he did not use it often.

He would not be satisfied with Myriad Tendrils as his only ultimate move. In fact, in Chang Wei's eyes, Myriad Tendrils was not yet perfect.

Alex completely gave up on the idea of escaping. He could not afford to gamble; he could only find the answer by devouring Chang Wei.

The question was, did Chang Wei have an anti-absorption mechanism? Could his own Blacklight Virus keep up with the rate of corrosion and evolve resistance to it?

"You really surprise me. You already know what you are, don't you? Is there really any need to fight this desperately over a fragment of memory?"

After confirming that Alex had no way to escape, Chang Wei asked.

"What about you?"

Alex shot back.

"I'm different from you, and different from Elizabeth Greene. Our evolutionary paths are different, and the Blacklight Virus within us is different too. There were never two identical prototypes from the start. So it wasn't the virus that became me—it was me who fused with the virus and became who I am now."

Chang Wei spoke calmly.

Although the Blacklight Virus constantly affected the release of hormones related to combat, the results were all beneficial, so Chang Wei did not interfere.

Alex took a deep breath and charged at Chang Wei.

Six-Blade Style!

Chang Wei shook his head and transformed into a six-armed form, six blades extending from him. Alex was utterly baffled at the sight. Six blades? He only had one. How was he supposed to fight that?

More importantly, Chang Wei's Blade Form arms were no longer human arms.

In an instant—so fast Alex barely registered it—his body lost control and crashed to the ground.

"Unable to Understand what happened?"

Seeing Alex recover with a bewildered expression, Chang Wei smiled.

"A chameleon's tongue, a snake's structure, and other arthropods... I've been studying bioengineering applications all along, and this is my Six-Blade Style form. Blades that can cut past the speed of sound, with an attack range that can extend virtually without limit. Even an army, I could slaughter in a few seconds."

The initial inspiration had come from Parasyte. During the practical stage, it became Whip-Blade Form plus Blade Form, and finally biological structural applications were added. In the Original Plot, the whip blade only served to increase attack range and imitate Spider-Man.

But now, Chang Wei could control six supersonic blades at once, attacking from angles no human body could achieve—from any angle at all.

And its power was terrifying as well. A supersonic slash could cut even a skyscraper in two!

Unfortunately, he could not control more blades. Otherwise, a Hundred-Blade Style would have been nice too.

Still, the space was only so large. More was not always better.

Alex despaired. He felt that the distance between himself and Chang Wei had not narrowed in the slightest because of his courage and desperate struggle. Instead, it had grown ever more distant, just like someone at the foot of a mountain looking up at someone on its summit—unable to see them clearly, unable to see them at all!

Whoosh!

The piercing howl could not keep up with the blade's speed. This time, Alex saw it clearly. He simply had not paid attention before; with his neural reflexes, he could still see it.

But seeing it did not mean he could dodge it. In an instant, his restored body was torn apart again, his armor as fragile as paper. Then Chang Wei did not allow him to keep regenerating. Instead, he absorbed the severed pieces.

Alex hurriedly regenerated and unleashed all kinds of attacks against Chang Wei, but Chang Wei ignored them completely, letting Alex strike him. None of Alex's attacks affected Chang Wei in the slightest, as though he had activated an invincible state.

He had been driven into a dead end. The Blacklight Virus also had to obey the Law of Conservation of Energy. In the game, this was represented by the health bar. Once its stored energy and Blacklight Virus were depleted, the health bar would be emptied, and it could no longer regenerate.

So after Chang Wei devoured so much of his Blacklight Virus, Alex's health bar was practically at the bottom.

He could not devour or absorb the Blacklight Virus around him. Chang Wei's Blacklight Virus had an anti-absorption mechanism, and the strong acid corroded his Blacklight Virus, only making his situation worse.

In the end, Alex erupted.

Myriad Tentacles: End All!!!

This incomparably terrifying ultimate move instantly filled Black Coffin. The entire Black Coffin shook, yet remained unbreakable. Chang Wei, on the other hand, was attacked and tightly bound by the tendrils.

The gapless tendrils finally rendered his preemptive elementalization ineffective. Yet after the tendrils continuously piercing and wrapping around his body were corroded by strong acid, other tendrils immediately took their place.
