Several figures streaked across the barren black earth like beams of light.

This land was an eerie dark black, as though it had been soaked in endless blood. Half of a ruined divine statue jutted from the soil, its hollow eye sockets gazing at the gray, murky sky; a collapsed colossal bronze cauldron lay slanted amid jagged rocks, its body covered in green patina, with ancient totems faintly visible upon it; broken weapons littered the ground, some rusted into scrap iron while others still carried faint fluctuations of spiritual power; and enormous demon beast skeletons lay half-buried in the earth, their stark white bones gleaming with a ghastly pallor beneath the dim light.

The sea wind howled past, sweeping up sand and dust from the ground with a mournful wail. Lu Changsheng gripped the Sea God Halberd, his body flashing like lightning as he looked down upon the land below. His brows furrowed slightly, for he saw quite a few factions searching this region—sect disciples clad in uniform robes, Rogue Cultivators traveling in groups, and even sea demons rummaging through the Ruins for something.

"Looks like quite a few factions have already combed through this place."

Lu Changsheng spoke in a low voice, a flicker of worry passing through his eyes. With so many people searching here, someone might already have beaten them to the key that opened the Minggu Divine Temple.

"Hehe, so that's what you're worried about?" Imperial Butterfly lay sprawled atop his hair, letting out a crisp laugh. "The key has a guardian. How could it be taken away so easily? What you should worry about is whether, with your strength, you can successfully take the key."

"A guardian?"
